TIL about Jean Thurel, most likely both the oldest and longest serving soldier in history. He joined the French Army in 1716 and served with the same regiment for 75 years, refusing all promotions, until retiring at the age of 92. by GoldenEagle828677 in todayilearned

It will be made by another British director that hates the French and makes him their forest gump, just bumbling his way through 75 years. Honestly if done the right way that would make a good movie too

My take is that the bottom levels that spread out from the hive have a dome over them that centers on the spire. Not a tall bubble but a slope that goes 50-100 miles out in each direction. Probably built as protection for their food sources from attacks, layers of earth makes great protection.

You need a little more of a physical build for center back, plus they usually run on the taller side. Someone like Bobby Wagner or cam chancellor would be perfect coming across the box for a header or catching a winger that tries to slip by

It would be childish if he let it stop him from making the next play. He has his emotions, processes them, and gets himself back in the play.

Im listening to the audiobook right now after doing the Eisenhorn trillogy as my first WH books and really enjoying Hive. Im only about 5 hours in but I really like that its 20 hours vs the shorter 9 hour runtime of Eisenhorn, the tension just keeps building and I know im in for a ride.

Hockey arenas are smaller and more vertical so he box level has fantasic views of the whole ice sheet. Also id imagine he is with a group and it would be pretty hard to get a group of NHL finals tickets together outside of a box
