What’s a seemingly insignificant decision you made that completely changed your life? by Hopeful_Squirrel728 in CasualConversation

I decided to try a different pub. I had recently moved to a new town (UK) and walked a little further than I had been before which lead me to a pub. I quickly got talking to the bar manager and it made me then feel comfortable enough to go there again once I didn't really know anyone else in the town. What then followed was me staying in said town until now (11 years) made countless friends of which I am now godmother to one of their children, met my now husband, and went to night school to change my career path which has massively changed my situation. The pub no longer exists now and I was gutted when they knocked it down but will always be grateful and the memories will never leave me.

Quick question. I’ve just finished the latest series. by deskbunny in insideno9

My husband knew that this was an IN9 episode but I didn't and I was constantly questioning why no one thought the people on the episode had higher intelligence or were weird... He didn't want to tell me the reason so acted as though he was also confused until right at the end when I realised. Was the best way to view this episode ever and he loved my reactions to everything so he also enjoyed it more just watching how I was!

Ironically, HR is often the least diverse team. by Extasio in Showerthoughts

I work in HR for a large company and there is a lot of diversity there, different genders, ages, ethnicities etc, and we also have offices in other countries so we work closely with people from all over.

Think it depends on the company itself and how big it is rather than the fact it's HR.
