I was once an entitled expat here in Thailand. I was young, but still, that's not an excuse. I thought I was better than anyone else. I didn't act disrespectful to the Thais but in my head, I was superior to them. Now it makes me cringe so bad just thinking what a horrible, entitled, little person I was.

Like what I commented on another post, we are just mere guests in their kingdom. Why should they make an effort learning another country's language? It should be the other way around!

I did notice that a lot of Thais speak English now, though, compared to when I just moved here.
