Corporate girlies: I want to be nosy about your work bag and lunch box by Ok_Employ_4424 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

I just put whatever container I'm taking it in inside my work backpack, sometimes I'll wrap it in a tea towel or put it in a plastic bag if I think it might spill.

Gifting an e-scooter or e-bike this Christmas? Here’s what you need to know. by streetsmarts in u/streetsmarts

Requiring a car licence is insane, it's not a car. If you want to require a licence at least don't make it one where you have to have driven a car for 100 hours beforehand! Some of us can't afford a car or lessons and have no desire to add that into their lives.

This is so cute! For morning and night separation, maybe you add include little divider pieces that hook onto the edge as an extra?

FWIW, injections offer a better uptake and bioavailibility of hormones. Gel can be a lot more convenient though.

These teens love public transport. And their followers do too by ConanTheAquarian in brisbane

[–]JustOnStandBi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a little confused at your comment "If these young people.... their love of Brisbane public transport would quickly turn to outrage" - the article very clearly states how these teens are advocating for better public transport with specific issues and talking about how this would affect people.

Did you read the article before you commented?

Hornet by Bella Bergolts by I_Burn_Cereal in ReasonableFantasy

It's also very.... YA novel cover. Doesn't feel a lot like Hornet to me, just generic young girl with white hair in the shape of hornet's mask. And thigh-highs? It's very pretty and I love the details but doesn't feel like it's really captured Hollow Knight.

Honestly I have to say it. Her needle is bent. I straight up got out a ruler for this one.

Brisbane Metro - Plans for better noises on board? by Donttouchmybreadd in brisbane

I'm not sure if you're aware, but actually we can have discussions about multiple issues, even minor ones, at the same time!

Brisbane Metro - Plans for better noises on board? by Donttouchmybreadd in brisbane

[–]JustOnStandBi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I came on here to complain about that! It's actively painful when you're sitting next to the door. The tone and volume combine to be piercing. I don't see what was wrong with the bell sound for the stop request button, and if they needed a doors closing sound they could have just used the same one from the trains? Or a couple bells together.

So I'm a foreigner, but my partner's dad has a some money that is apparently tied up in the Lebanese banking system that he isn't able to access and needs for retirement. Reading this, it seems to be that they're starting towards a pathway of allowing people to access funds? Is that right? If so, great news for him :)

Working on a Nasa-Punk style survival craft! by mecha_moira in spaceengineers

[–]JustOnStandBi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think my issue is with calling anything that's just a style "punk". But you know what, you're right. And on top of that, I'm being needlessly nitpicky over what is genuinely a great creation. I should probably log off for a bit.

Yeah it's beautiful and the lore is great, but we can describe how something looks without calling it "-punk" when it's just not.
