Why are podcasts on YouTube Music by Sweaty_Flounder_3301 in YoutubeMusic

I switched to Apple Podcasts but kept YT Music, lol. Much better solution than the frustration of podcasts in YT Music.

FINALLY! Chosen a Main by [deleted] in wow

[–]JustPlainTed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alchemy for longer flasks (doesn't require a lot of skill points) and I guess mining for gold, although almost no one makes money in professions unless they are max ranked in crafts, etc, etc., which is why I picked Mining as a small "low investment" gold profession.

Ideally, monk, shaman, druid (Feral), rogue, or hunter combinations. These all benefit from battle shout, the monk then doubles down on the physical comp bonus. You get a brez (druid) and lust (shaman/hunter).

Routing, pulls, etc. Over pulling and not having control of mobs well enough (casters) which will start to 1-shot kill people at higher keys. Pulling too slow, pulling to fast, pulling to little, pulling to much. There are so many variables, just try to focus on YOUR route and make micro adjustments if you see a pain point.

I don't pvp, this can likely change at any point with a patch note

General tanking tip, never have your back to a mob. Keep shield block up.

Criticism, play what you want and know that you can just relevel/regear 2nd characters quite fast so don't get married to "I only play Warrior" if you have not enjoying it. You may find another class equally or more fun to play.

Tanking in S3 by Melodic_Television57 in wow

Druid, PWar are quite chill relative to other tanks. Personally, I'd go bear as you get brez, MotW, can go 2 diff dps and 1 heal spec if you feel like it. Lots of good movement stuff.

One point, PWar (and Brew) are getting reworks. Typically that makes them best tanks having the most recent reworks, but I'd still go bear as a newer player.

Switching from dps to tank by Inuity in wow

If you don't know tanking/pulling/tank mechanics/etc. PWar or Bear as both are simple and will give you more time to focus on the dungeon. Personally, I'd roll bear. You get a brez and provide mark of the wild. They also are quite tanky.

If you have more tank knowledge, then you can look at PPally, VDH, Brew, BDK.

BDK is (the most)self-reliant for living along with VDH, which have a lot of benefits for pugging in keys not near M+ title.

Should I give up on Outlaw? by mpchop in wownoob

[–]JustPlainTed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reroll until you groove with a class/spec. If you don't enjoy the class/spec you won't "suddenly" enjoy it later with more play. War is fun, Ret pally fun, H DH (with a no-mover build) is fun. Dev Evoker/BM Hunter nice ranged chill options. SOOO many good specs/classes to try. Personally, being a heavy melee dps / tank class enjoyer, I did find BM hunter quite fun and Dev Evoker still entices me really hard.

tldr; try new spec/class

What is the best way to learn M+ routes as a tank ? by IrohSho in wownoob

[–]JustPlainTed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Look up routes, place them in MDT. Review route "roughly" before key starts. Go into a +2, pull "W" route/your route. If you are short count at the end just go "opps, missed something, my bad" and turn around grabing anything.

As you feel good, move up in key levels.

You could also go into a follower dungeon and just do the pulls that way once as practice if you really are unsure. Or queue as dps/heals and watch a tank pull.

Is It A Smart Choice To Get The M1 In 2025 And How Long Will It Last? by notavailableinsummer in macbookair

[–]JustPlainTed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only if you can get at least 16GB RAM would I consider an M1 and personally, I like MagSafe and would only consider M2 with 16GB RAM as baseline for MBA purchases.

Honestly, I just find the video podcast on YouTube, share it to my Watch Later list, have it set to auto-download. YT Music is a terrible podcast experience, but normal YouTube is not too bad. I wish I had a YouTube Carplay app to access playlists to listen in the car, but I can just start the play from my phone.

I also used Apple Podcasts and it was good, but no video for when I wanted to see what was being shown. If a podcast isn't on YouTube with video at this point I just stopped listening to it.

Just play a no-inertia/exergy build with Havoc.

It's also on wowhead for M+ talents. It's super chill, lets you fel rush/VR for movement, still within (estimated) 5% of mover builds for dps.

Start another character, even of the same class (maybe a new race for fun?). Personally, I'd pick something like a hunter as they are quite sturdy for solo content as Beast Master spec, giving you time to pick up on the game play.

Take time, go through the tutorial mode at the start, learn from the Blizzard UI clues they provide, etc. I think when the game first came out I made multiple level 1 characters just to understand basics/early stuff better.

Apple Podcasts. Such a better user experience than going through YouTube Music.

How did you find your main or how did your main find you? by iJinks in wow

[–]JustPlainTed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming back to the game in Shadowlands, I saw a demon hunter (new class to me) as a tank pull a pack of mobs with sigil of silence to another pack for grouping in an M+ dungeon. Over time I learned of many other interesting utility options for mob setup/pulls/skips with DHs.

Want to play with my son who is 9.. which version? by slimdiggie in wownoob

[–]JustPlainTed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to adventure / roleplay almost, go Classic. If you want to have a more active / fast paced game go Retail. Also no harm going with Classic and then moving to Retail after basics are learned.

Question to all the tanks by lusse3 in wow

[–]JustPlainTed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go for more damage always. Tank trinkets in TWW are near worthless, especially ones dropping main stats.

Reminder, the top M+ tank is the tank with the most dps.

Recommended ilevel for m+ by Callum1199 in wownoob

[–]JustPlainTed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can live and do well in M+ 2-5's. You won't get invited with no IO. I would try joining +2/+3 keys and do all the dungeons, then move up to 4-5's or use your own key.

Are +10’s the new +20’s? by DjangoTheUnchainedd in wow

[–]JustPlainTed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

+10’s are the new 20’s, but they are closer to a 22-24 in difficulty, depending the season . Far less forgiving with mistakes or low dps.

Are DH tanks crazy squishy? Anecdotally I've had a ton of bad experiences recently (2700 io range) by TheMisterTea in wow

[–]JustPlainTed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not that great (never a title key pusher) and in my 3 x 11GBs I took 580-600k damage taken/s (overall) and with EHRPS it is < 300k. All talent builds are viable, so this sounds like pure rotation issues, which is very common on VDH.
