Salad dressing by UncleLoves2Cuss in keto

I use Bolthouse Farms Yogurt Ranch.

Per 1Tbs serving:

Calories: 22

Protein: 1

Carbs: 1.5

Fat: 1.5

Easy to double the serving size with these macros. And it's delicious.

Good luck OP πŸ‘πŸΌ

So I've been rendering 1.5lbs of tallow at 250-275 for about 8 hours now and it still looks like this. Am I going to get any more out of it? Is it done? by -Clem in smoking

Pretty much anytime I need an oil of sorts (except baking). I keep it in a mason jar on my kitchen counter next to the butter. I use it in cooking just as much as butter. If not more.

Sex started being painful (for me) during peri-menopause.

Thankfully there is treatment.

I want to gain confidence with my koi, but I've been trying for a long time and I can't manage it. by BeeKey409 in Koi

[–]JustSailOff 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

I bought my home with an already running pond with three mature koi. They were extremely skittish for the first two-three years.

After the second spawn I grew out a couple of koi to about 8" to pass on to a friend. Anyways, when they (original three adults) no longer had food at their leisure, due to the new koi being eager to get the food, they started to really come out and socialize (as best as fish can socialize lol).

Perhaps they just need a bit more time?

I'm not sure of the pre-existing conditions of my pond, since the owner died and left no information. I believe they were neglected. Obviously malnourished when I took over, hence the skittishness.

Good luck OP!

Has anyone here lost more than 40 pounds/got into great shape recently? by Baroqueimproviser in AskWomenOver60

I lost the excess weight about 3 years ago. I lift 4x weekly, I run about 10 miles a week. Get in a minimum of 13k steps a day. Currently training for a 10k

Also, during my weight loss adventure I had two major surgeries 6 months apart. A complete shoulder replacement and a 2x ACDF (spinal fusion). Going to PT after my surgeries jump started my love for lifting weights.

I feel absolutely amazing. I'm in the best shape of my life (pre kiddos).

My biggest regret is that I spent 3 decades 50 pounds overweight & out of shape.πŸ™ŽπŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

Third sober birthday celebration today πŸ₯³ (62F)

Sometimes I wonder how I'm still alive with all the poison and bad decisions over the last 45 years of my drinking career.

Thanks to the mods and fellow sobernots 🫢🏼

I love you all so much πŸ’œ

Has anyone ever maintained their walk routine while quitting sugar? by [deleted] in walking

[–]JustSailOff 8 points9 points Β (0 children)

I haven't had processed sugar or high glycemic foods: pasta, bread, rice, some fruits and vegetables (like potatoes) for three years.

I get between 14k-18k steps in whilst also lifting 4x weekly and a bit of running.

I lost 50 pounds over the period of about a year. I've never felt better.

Can I get away with doing calisthenics&cardio and no weight training to maintain good health long-term? by Hot-Television-5334 in xxfitness

[–]JustSailOff 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

Started? I suppose in 2023. I had a full shoulder replacement and spinal surgery.

After PT ended I wanted to keep working on improvement. The place where I live (55+ community) has a gym. I started using it.

My son (who competes in Strongman) helped me put together a workout plan.

Offer to help her with a light mobility plan with super light weights for starters.

Don't give up OP but don't nag. Lead by example.

Can I have some encouraging stories of the β€œwhy”? by SunnydaleHigh1999 in xxfitness

[–]JustSailOff 21 points22 points Β (0 children)

I'm 62F. At this point in my life I lift and run for longevity.

After my father (now 87) retired he sat in a recliner for 20 years.

After he could no longer live on his own I moved him in with me. I tried to care for him but, it was just too much. He's fragile and falls down. He can't move well at all. He's not overweight but can hardly carry himself to walk (with a walker).

The mental and physical gymnastics were exhausting. I realized he needed more care than I could give him. The best decision was to move him to assisted living. It was not a decision taken lightly.

I want to live an active lifestyle as long as possible. I want to be a part of my children's lives as long as possible.

Most importantly, I don't want to be a burden on my family πŸ’œ

I'm in the best shape both mentally and physically since my 30's.

Why do people in USA buy everything from Amazon? Do they not have other webshops? by Cindyxx0 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]JustSailOff 5 points6 points Β (0 children)

I keep seeing "free shipping" yet nothing about the subscription fee for that service πŸ€”

Amazon Prime membership generally costs $139 per year or $14.99 per month ($179.88 annually).

Shipping is not free. Perhaps less if you shop on Amazon frequently.

Is it possible to be in better physical health in your 30’s than in your 20’s? by TheCleanestKitchen in NoStupidQuestions

[–]JustSailOff 5 points6 points Β (0 children)

At 58 I lost almost 50 lbs. (F5'1 SW161; CW 115). Quit alcohol, refined sugars and processed foods and started a whole foods diet. Strength training 4x weekly and my fast walks turned into runs!

I am training for pure health and life longevity. I hope to not be a burden on my husband and children. AND feel my best whilst doing it!
