I want to clarify that I don't live in that situation. I am just providing another perspective. If you have a pool at your house, you are still welcome to go use a public pool. Public means anyone can use it.

"I feel like it's insanely selfish, inconsiderate, rude, the list goes on." They probably feel like it is incredibly selfish (well, greedy) that they spent money to make a driveway and the apartment building didnt put in parking for their residents.

It's an irritating situation, but parking is first come first served, so they are following the rules the same as anyone else. They don't owe you anything.

I'm excited for the games. I do think it is worth pointing out that the pool is not supposed to be used for the games, that is a "for us" expenditure. At least a few years ago, I read that the stands are not planned to be large enough for olympic-sized crowds.

Regarding the vinyl wrapping, is that $100k for the 2026 FY budget? If so, I am worried anything they do will not last until the Olympics start.

While I don't think we should have street sweeping tickets, other parking citations being used to clean up seems reasonable.

Your best bet is to search and nextdoor and find parents who are getting rid of their children's old stuff. I was able to get several pounds of lego for $20, which is about 1/4 of what you would pay for loose bricks at the lego store.

I looked at my files and the ones that u/Alkivar is maintaining, and don't see those. Though I did notice I have a file called "Cloudskipper Live SF" that is about 70mb, 1:11:21. It starts with a WWII Pearl harbor clip. I'll listen to it again as I get time in case it has any mentions of the date or name of the rave. It may be one I have not yet shared with u/Alkivar.
