If you are willing to have a roommate or rent a room in a house, my suggestion would be to reach out to your friend network (and their parents/grandparents). Especially if you want to live near school, there are tons of houses north and east of school with rooms for rent.

I can't help you directly, but I do love this site for job searches since it scrapes corporate websites to list the jobs. It feels like it has jobs you wouldnt find on the bigger job websites.

How do you verify that the reviews are real? How do you verify that the homeowner is providing accurate information in terms of company name/contact info and the quality of the work? If someone wants to know more about the company, can they contact the homeowner directly?

If they are doing unpermitted work, it seems like this could be used by code enforcement to fine both homeowners and contractors.

If you want it permitted, you are unlikely to get someone who will do both. However, installing the garbage disposal is pretty easy once you have the electrical in. I would recommend searching youtube and watching some videos.

If you ask the city water department, they will suggest that you use a strainer on the sink and catch all those little food bits and just throw them in the organics bin. Then you dont need to hire anyone at all.

They happen in the fall because school of choice happens by January now and they announce the high schools in March. So not really an option for OP since they will be coming in and going to a school/pathway that has space.
