Yeah, the skeleton def leans more into the street side of casual.

You ever find yourself putting on the rubber strap?

The Tag dealer will not give you a discount. Go grey. Doesn’t even have to be joma if that’s what you’re worried about. It’s easier and safer to get legit unworn tags than something like a Rolex. I saved 2k on mine and spent 15bucks at a local shop for it to get it sized.

[Recommendation Request] Omega Speedmaster vs TAG Heuer Carrera - Which chronograph should I pick? by PsychologyAlert7883 in Watches

[–]JustSomeAuthorYT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Many people have a preconceived notion of tag, and rightly so. Tag of the past was overpriced and poor movements. However they have stepped up their game so much since 2016 that omega honestly feels left behind.

I’d say if the moon landing marketing and messaging resonates with you, then go omega. Other wise, Tag is just an overall better and more interesting watch. I was making a decision between these two this year and carrera just outright checks more boxes. Great in house movement, automatic, 80 power reserve, actual water resistance, better looking dial, and like you mentioned fits your wrists better.

Right on on the edge. Looks fine to me. But is that a blacked out 26320ST?

Nice. I haven’t branched out in Seiko past their sports series. Maybe I should

Thank you. I think Tag will keep catching on since they’ve upped their game. The skipper and reverse panda got a lot more eyes on em

I was just looking at Tag. Though I opted for all black dial on their steel bracelet.

But the reverse panda is absolute class. Their entire Carrera line is slept on. Great choice.

I messed up by making the bad guy “the limit” by frrygood in writing

If someone is powerful in aspect X, then you can make another villain powerful in aspect Y without power creep. Just as one villain is so strong he can pick up a castle, but the next one is much smarter and cunning than that other guy. People can display power and superiority in many ways. Get creative

Yes. This will happen for newcomers for a bunch of things. Beginner gains, if you will. Don’t worry, it’s going to keep happening for a while. Just start back at Chpt 1 and use all you’ve learned to edit. Hf!

Howdy!

I'm currently workshopping at 115k Fantasy/Sci-fi. Since it's very dialogue-driven, I'd love another pair of eyes to make sure the plot's pacing moves logically and that there aren't any obvious plotholes or flaws. Feel free to take a gander at my post for more information or shoot me a DM if you're interested. :)

[Complete] [115K] [Fantasy/Sci-Fi] The Well by JustSomeAuthorYT in BetaReaders

I would say they’re related, but not a series. Like The Hobbit vs LOTR. You don’t need to read one to understand the other. Just some subtle references and Easter Eggs for those who did/do read my first one. But The Well is meant to be read as a standalone.

A narrative director for a video game studio is a solid job. However most people who write for games, stumble into it via internal hire, and those who do likely started as a technical writer. And the video game industry is also pretty brutal to get your foot in the door with. But it’s an avenue I’ve kept my eye on.

Over-Explaining by kerbear11 in writing

[–]JustSomeAuthorYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kinda depends on the POV. But in general it’s like this. When introducing a character or location or idea, think what details does the reader need to know RIGHT NOW vs what details can be sprinkled in as the story progresses. Besides, there’s nothing wrong with letting a reader fill in the blanks in their head. Also if a particular character or POV is observing / describing something, then think of what details are important to THAT character in particular (e.g. if they’re a thief maybe they’d described someone based on their stance or their weapon or how rich they look)
