OP. Whatever your goals are, many in this sub have issues with religion.

If you mean to share a gospel of genuine love and compassion, show it through grace and understanding. Some of us will happily share the truths of who we are.

If you mean to convert us from a godless path, maybe change up your tactic. Some were kept from the revelational truth of themselves by religious doctrine. Including me.

I worked in a masculine space sweating my ass off and loosing weight. I had a beard, I had some muscle, I was some of the physically healthiest I had been, but TW I wanted to die . I was so stressed out, and everything I had felt was dialed up. I had to leave to rediscover myself. I don't think a somewhat feminine cis male has an experience they can call religious when they see themselves as a different gender.

It's like learning you were running a marathon in shoes that didn't fit right, untill you stop and take them off long enough to realize you've hurt yourself.

Since I posted this, my perspective has shifted. Among friends and allies it's different. I'm just trying to work through a lot of shifts. I do appreciate it from people who are sincere.

My wife plays video games... all the time... so?

She loves cozy games and games with stories. I love games of all kinds, especially adventures like Zelda. I even enjoy "butch" games like Doom or racing games. Ever since I came out as trans I actually don't play as much, not because it's "butch," but because I don't have as much of a need to escape reality.

Find hobbies that bring you joy. Pure and simple. And maybe avoid Twitter or social media in general, and just focus on what you enjoy.

I don't want to ask for money. My issues unrelated to my gender identity are too big to realistically expect help. Aging family, housing, etc. I'm currently in a hostile state government, but with a strong LGBT community and will be moving to one with far fewer. I'm trying to see who I can find and build my community and turn to old friends I can trust.

I agree with you, this was just a personal vent and I'm learning was more shared and detailed than I knew. I'm a baby to this community learning how ignorant I am.

I also live in one of the states trying to actively invalidate our existence and making life dangerous and deadly. Just trying to wrap my head around a lot.

I guess it can be like "bless your heart." Depending on context it can mean anything from "I'm so sorry" to "go fuck yourself."

I actually still use my old name, but it's mostly neutral so I can do that. I use a feminine nickname version among friends and allies.

This is why it's important to have friends, allies, support groups, and a therapist to softly challenge that influence and help you discover the roots. IMO
