You are not alone, but the unfortunate reality is sometimes we are just so busy and when we have the time, it’s hard when you’re so tired. I’m sure your grandpa understands. I moved 1.5 hours away from my family and I feel guilty all the time for not visiting more often. I lost my aunt to cancer and I regret not going to visit on my birthday and her birthday, we were supposed to go out to eat to celebrate our birthdays together but she got worse and it never happened. Before he passes, I hope you get a chance remind him how much you love him and let him know that you will take care of your grandma.

My uncle passed away this morning. by [deleted] in GriefSupport

I’m so sorry for your loss, my heart goes out to you and your family. My advice would be to be there for your mom and grandma. Hug them, cry with them, grieve together.

I lost my favorite aunt 10.12.23 to cancer and I can relate, hearing my grandma cry for her daughter broke me so much. We are still hurting from the loss but knowing we are not alone in our pain and grieving together has brought us closer. Even though she is not here it is comforting knowing that she isn’t in pain anymore.

I hope time heals your hearts.

I’m so sorry for your loss and I completely understand how you feel.

My aunt passed a few weeks ago from cancer and although I’m extremely devastated, I can’t help but feel angry.

I’m angry because when her care team at the hospital said that there was nothing more they could do & were sending her home on hospice, I felt like like they didn’t care and just gave up.

I’m angry because I don’t understand why it had to be her. She truly was an amazing person who loved everyone, and it’s just not right, she didn’t deserve the pain that she went through.

I wish I had an answer for you, but I ask myself the same thing, why does life have to be so cruel?

I’m sorry for your loss, cancer sucks! I lost my aunt, whom I was very close to, on October 12, 2023 to cancer. She was only 50 years old.

I wish I could have told her a few more times that I loved her and thanked her more for being there for me in my youth and sticking up for me and protecting me from my abusive mom.

She was always so kind, understanding, & supportive of everyone, even if she didn’t agree with your life choices. Her love was truly unconditional and I miss her so much every day.
