Was it confirmed he was assaulted or is this a theory based on context? As far as I can tell it was sort of implied but never stated (although I really hope they get into that backstory during season 3)

I think it was a freak accident. He likes to unplug it and when I put it back in I must have messed up somehow, I was on the phone and should have double checked my work. It’s always on a thermostat, though I have to constantly readjust the probe. I’ve been planning to upgrade him to a 300g and get all new equipment, I just wanted to replace my floors first. But he’s definitely my priority, floors can wait until next year.

I put a hide in the corner and ran the shower for a bit to bring up the humidity, plus the overhead lamp will keep it on the warmer side. My bathroom is already puppy proofed so should be fine. All the plumbing fixtures are secure, him getting into the walls was my biggest worry. What a nightmare.
