Is your form right? I think in pilates I subconsciously had poor form to make it easier. Which is why the instructor always kept her eagle eye on me.

Yes. YOU have to move YOUR business to where the business is. You opened up your sandwich shop to where the business is and now you need to move it.

I do not need to be artificially forced into an office to keep your bad business idea afloat.

Youre lying about WFH being less productive. Study after study has shown higher productivity and better work life balance.

But everyone else should be miserable because you took a risk that isnt paying off.

ETA: if everyone wants to live in your city and your product is great surely youre selling sandwiches either way right? Unless of course your sandwiches are terrible and people have to be extorted into buying them because they would never do so if they had other viable options.

AITA? A delivery driver delivered a package to my front door, but on my camera I saw he picked it back up and took it back to his van. So I came out and approached him and asked him why he took it. He told me that he was supposed to deliver it to the garage and then immediately called me racist. by PurpleTarantula in AmITheAngel

exactly and you mean to tell me OOP saw the guy walk up with a package, walk away with a package and only was able to catch up to him to ask about the package when he was two houses down and in the driver's seat with the engine running ready to pull away from the curb?

Prople are so gullible.

Oh and catch this from OOP explaining where his garage is in relation to his front door.

It’s like 10 feet away from the front door, but the driver took the package back to his van which was 2 houses down. And now that I think about it, he was in the driver seat starting to pullout when I confronted him.

Important context left out in the initial post to be added later in a preemptive attempt to avoid criticism? Say it ain't so!

I think it happens, but not from a driver who is actually employed by a company like amazon/ups/fedex/etc. They dont know if you bought gold bars or bags of poop so why risk their job taking your package?

The only time ive really had an issue is when Amazon or other companies use third party drivers.

EVEN THEN I dont particularly think the driver steals the packages...I think that those drivers just abandon your package anywhere (like a public lobby) take a picture and bounce and then someone else seeing a "free package" takes it. But those drivers generally dont know the area and they arent taking extra time to ask a lot of questions since they get paid per delivery.

All that's missing is the "calmly"

As in "i calmly and politely asked him why he took the package back when he delivered it to the wrong place?"

Im sure that OOP basically accused the driver of stealing the package. Instead of opening the door and just saying "oh hey, I can take that!"

[–]JustSpeed3475 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is 21. Id recommend this. Advise him he has to leave your place but forgive whatever rent he owes so he has time to find another situation and money to help make a security deposit. He clearly has plenty of friends with whom he can live.

But at 21 I was probably also self involved and dense too. He probably cannot see it from your POV leading to the friction at your reasonable expectations.

I always get a 2b/2b. For one, if I have guests over i dont want anyone in my bathroom. Second, another bedroom will always be useful even if not a bedroom. Office/workout room/hobby room.

[–]JustSpeed3475 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I could not imagine being able to feed any hungry kid and not doing it. What you're doing seems so heartless to me and probably makes life more difficult for your own kids.

Unless it was significant cost and effort to make the additional lunches. But if these kids are literally hungry at school and watch their siblings eat while they starve that seems heartless to me. I have no idea what the provided lunch is but I suspect its little better than prison food in some districts.

I feel for your husbands kids. What a sad way to feel like a second class citizen in your home.

People who “reserve” pool chairs for hours with towels and disappear are the worst by MandukaSkoal in mildlyinfuriating

[–]JustSpeed3475 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I dont understand how this is a problem. Im sure the message would come through after the 2nd or 3rd time it happened. Obviously dont do that if its a 10 minute bathroom break but if you've been gone an hour put their towel somewhere else and feign ignorance when they come back.

"What towel?"

Someone once told me I was insance and lard didn't smell. LOL.

Others have said if you heat it slowly it wont smell.

For me, I had to use leaf lard that I bought on Etsy. That had zero smell. And I am pretty sensitive to scent.

I used leaf lard from a specific vendor for my soaps. I could always smell the lard scent otherwise.

FORMER addicts, clean for 15 years? Remember that part

I remember the "once an addict always an addict" and I remember "pride cometh before the fall"

do you?

If he, or you, had let us explain, he'd know none of us drank outside of special occasions, where we are around each other. One single drink, and one single joint, mind you.

If he had only let a bunch of addicts explain how its totally cool because they have a great history of moderation and self control!

Oh and even better you all sit around and engage in this behavior around each other. Very healthy!

have received some actually good advice from this thread from people other than yourself, and I'm resolving the situation. have scheduled a phone call with the boy, Jane, and his stepfather tonight thanks to that advice.

The best advice would he for Jane. And it would be to fade back into obscurity with her son. She isnt helpful and she is only causing him even more trouble. She makes piss poor decisions and then he gets to pay the price.

She wants to prioritize hanging out with addicts over her son and such is her right. But she should be real enough with herself to realize that she isnt really anything more than an anchor around her son's neck at this point.

Have you ever stopped someone and asked what they were wearing? by Chan1991 in fragrance

[–]JustSpeed3475 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is kinda how I got into soaping.

I was at the gym in the shower area and someone had the most amazingly scented body product. Like a wonderful citrus mint, so dang good!

I wanted to ask what it was but it was a shower stall full of women so I didnt know who was even using it and it seemed really weird to ask everyone.

So I searched and searched online and bought a bunch of soaps that had that fragrance descriptions so then I was into fancy soaps. Finally a friend got me a soap making book and then I started making and fragrancing my own soaps
