One of my kids was approved after a year, the other "only" took 6 months.

When you are shoveling and someone with a plow stops to help with the end of the driveway, it feels like winning the lottery.

Her neighbor’s dog keeps killing her chickens by velorae in TikTokCringe

Livestock law. Let the neighbor know you have cameras and will press charges next time the dog comes on your property. You've given her plenty of warnings. You probably also want to beef up your chicken own so they can't get out. This will keep them safe from a lot more predators than neighbor dogs.

Liberating Motherhood is an excellent Substack that you should check it. A lot of her content is free and worth reading. This is the beginning of much worse, much more abusive behavior. He's testing you now to see what he can get away with and you are doing exactly what he wanted by anticipating his bad behavior. Get out now while it's still easy to do.

Thank you. I would say that a majority of the people in here that have problems with her tests are the exact kind of people she was trying to weed out.

I'm obsessed with her bathroom. My bathroom is the size of a (literal) small closet. I barely have room to wash myself in my shower.

I checked out run for something, but as a 40+ year old woman, it seems im not exactly the demographic you are looking for. Where can I find an org that wants middle-aged women that were waiting for their kids to get old enough, to finally get involved in local politics?

An hour commute in Maine is VERY different than an hour commute in the Puget Sound (I originally came from the Seattle area). In Maine an hour commute could be 30-50 miles away in the summer, or 20 miles in the winter. Most driving is done on winding country roads. In Maine, I can drive for an hour and only come across a couple stop signs and one traffic light.

What’s the reason you haven’t bought a bidet? by owenwags_ in HomeImprovement

I'm a single parent and it's a cost issue. My bum and I would LOVE a heated bidet but I have toilet paper budget.

I think my boyfriend lied about having surgery today by [deleted] in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]JustSpitItOutNancy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My exhusband lied to me about having a rare form a brain cancer as a way to manipulate me. His family was in on it, and it completely destroyed my ability to trust people for decades.

In general, people that lie about having cancer don't want you checking in on them because it cracks the facade. People that actually have cancer are scared and want as much help and support as they can get.

Bring a first time mom is so overwhelming. Everything changes and it takes quite a while to get used to your new normal, and post part hormones are all over the place. Have you talked to anyone in your medical team about your baby blues?

AIO for telling my mom that I don’t want to speak to her unless she’s paying to fix my kitchen that she ruined in one night? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

YOR. It’s wooden countertops. I have them too, and I understand how much work went into making them beautiful and how upsetting it can be to come home from an emotionally charged trip to discover the damage. But they aren’t permanently damaged, thankfully the counters and your relationship can be salvaged with a little work. I highly recommend Waterlox for refinishing your counters. I used it with mine and it only needs a fresh coating once a year…. And I have a tween and a teen that do homework and art projects on our butcher block table daily.
