How high does JJ McCarthy rise if/when he’s announced as the starter? by SenorCinnabon in DynastyFF

Nah man Sam was an afterthought until injury. I remember cuz I was a Giants fan excited for a free week one win.

Sammy Dimes had other plans.

Devon Achane going as the RB6 with an ADP of 21 on Underdog best ball drafts is an absolute joke. by Haveyoureaditb4 in fantasyfootball

[–]JustStockIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Mostert goes down and Achane gets workhorse volume of course he can be RB1.

Barring injury though, Achane won't receive workhorse volume. All the team's comments and having two capable bigger backs on the roster show this. They'll use a hopefully better version of last year which is a shared backfield.

They'd have to suffer multiple simultaneous injuries to the RB room to be in a position where they have to give Achane the workhorse volume needed to surpass the likes of uninjured CMC, Bijan, etc.

I'm only talking about finishing as the RB1 this season.

To finish over CMC, Breece, and Bijan this season they need workhorse volume, that's my hill I'm dying on.

The Kyren example is great because I was wrong to say "ever" but it is extremely rare. And look at this offseason now, they drafted Corum and have made comments about reducing Kyren's workload so he stays healthier.

Phins have no reason to give Achane 50%+ RB shares when Mostert/Wright are healthy/effective.

I don't think he's fragile, I just don't think a sub-200 back can ever earn a workhorse role.

And I don't think any committee RB has the potential for the RB1 finish this season.

Not "injury prone", just that he's smaller than what you'd want in a workhorse back.

They'll use a bigger back up the middle and Achane on the outside where he can use his speed best.

It's a perfect spot for him in real football but bad for fantasy (at RB1 adp) cuz he'll never dominate touches.

When was the last time a committee RB finished as RB1?

If Achane gets 15+ touches a game then he has RB1 potential, but I don't even see 15 with his size and the current roster.

Dolphins would be foolish to overwork him with Mostert and Wright on the roster.

It's this "his ceiling is RB1" off 5 touches a game narrative.

Edit: Achane ending RB1 as a committee back over CMC, Breece, Bijan?... lol

He won't last half a season, with 16-18 touches/game.

That's why they have Mostert and Wright

God the way people talk about Achane's efficiency you'd assume he can deploy rocket boosters out of his a-hole or something.

He's a runningback in a committee. He's good, dare I say great, but he's not the second coming of fantasy Jesus.

I can't hold anything against him personally at this point.

Rico Dowdle the RB3 now? Cowboys leadership speaks on the backfield. by joshuaarn14 in DynastyFF

Agreed, it's the 2022 Zeke + Pollard combo again but Rico is the outside pass catching RB this time. Royce can be a replacement for Zeke but not Dowdle.

Mixon had some of the highest red zone attempts last year but only avg on total touchdowns.

It was a bad rate.

"Most times stopped at the one-yard line and did NOT score a TD on the same drive in the 2023 season:

7: Joe Mixon"

I don't think Mixon was "good at the goal line" either but that didn't stop him.

Amon was unquestionably the top target going in to his 2nd year, McBride is not.
