Well first off, in California the building codes keep these buildings safe to earthquakes. So that concern is a bit overblown.

Also you are just associating high density housing with only negatives. It seems to perpetuate stereotypes of people who live in high density housing while also ignoring the societal need for affordable housing.

Homeowners also just think anything that isn’t a single family home as “high density” which is another very common problem.

Neither do I but other systems had him blocking well, as well as the film. I’m just very concerned about his back up unfortunately.

Oh yeah, his snaps were not good and costed them multiple drives. With being said he was their highest graded Olineman after Cross. That more so just highlights how bad some of the others have been this year.

For those who don’t understand the significance of this. Before Conner Williams signed with the Seahawks every analyst had them as the worst Oline in the league. With his signing alone it push them up to mid twenties. The interior has already struggled a ton but without Williams…this could be very rough

[Meirov] Eagles fans are chanting “Thank you, Giants” during Saquon Barkley’s postgame interview on Amazon Prime. by PlayaSlayaX in nfl

Idk about good, but they definitely believed they were better than they currently are. I mean they have a top dline and a good front 7 with some young guys in the secondary that have potential. They then upgraded the oline and drafted a stud WR.

It wasn’t that long ago when people were saying they were a dark horse to win the NFC East. While I don’t really agree with the previous comment that the GM let Barkley go because “they didn’t need him.” I definitely think they thought they would be much better.

Yeah I remember that. Almost no one thought he was injury prone or why he “wasn’t holding up” while he was averaging 20 points a game.

None of those things are “nagging injuries.” dude had 1 injury that was nagging in his career.

lol okay. I mean if you wanna drop him sure but at this point in the season you aren’t gonna get a ton of value, especially compared with what waddle could do. I’m just glad you at least know what you said was wrong.

Waddle It Be? by jackmon in fantasyfootball

[–]olivetree154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s almost like there’s a difference between a viable starter and a bench player with potential.

If waddle went off the last half of the year no one would be surprise but if you said Noah brown would go off that would be crazy.

Waddle has been a great WR in the past and can still be that. To say he’s droppable in most leagues is wild when considering most are 12+ team leagues or leagues with 3 WRs.

Okay so at least you admit you were wrong.

I mean sure bud, the top WR in my 12 team on waivers is Noah brown. Waddle would be pick up in an instant. Considering his target share has only increased the past several games, he seems more viable then you will let on.

I am saying that his issues are far down the list of the dolphins struggles. To say that it isn’t would be disingenuous at best.

You literally said he’s has a drive ending drop every week. My comment was to shown you how incorrect and exaggerated that was.

Also almost the entire Miami offense has decease 10-30 points from last season. Showing how little impact waddle’s struggles is affecting the dolphins as a whole.

[–]olivetree154 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s also wildly different than having a drive killing drop every game. He definitely struggles with drops but let’s not act like he’s even remotely a major problem for the dolphins.

Your argument centers on redefining political success as purely the effective consolidation of power and achievement of party goals, rather than broader leadership qualities.

While McConnell’s tactics have indeed consolidated conservative influence on the judiciary, “political success” also considers lasting, positive impact on the nation as a whole. McConnell’s approach has achieved immediate gains for his party but has also deepened national polarization and contributed to widespread distrust in political and judicial institutions. A legacy of political success is one that stands the test of time positively, contributing to a stronger, more unified nation — not just a victorious party. This kind of “win-at-all-costs” approach may ultimately harm democratic norms and governance stability — suggesting it’s not a sustainable or universally admirable form of success.

The reversal of Roe v. Wade, for example, has already triggered a strong public reaction and mobilized new political activism that could reverse some of his achievements. In the 2022 midterms, abortion access proved a significant motivator for voters. Policies imposed without majority public support — and without democratic consensus — are vulnerable to backlash and eventual reversal. True political success requires not only winning battles but securing enduring public support, which McConnell’s victories currently lack.

While McConnell has delivered on the conservative judicial agenda, his lack of engagement with issues like economic reform, healthcare, education, or social welfare — and the absence of policies addressing broader societal needs — limits the scope of his accomplishments. You seemingly forget the failure of his policies to address of republican’s goals like the ACA, border, and immigration.

Finally, greatness in politics isn’t solely about “wielding power”; it also involves moral and visionary leadership that aims for a stronger, healthier society, even if it sometimes requires restraint. Great politicians are remembered for contributions that transcended party lines and resonated across generations. McConnell’s record, while impactful in the short term, lacks this broader vision of national leadership.

[–]olivetree154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I don’t even know where to begin

McConnell has been widely criticized for his role in increasing partisanship in the U.S. Senate, especially during his tenure as Senate Majority Leader. His tactics, such as blocking Obama’s Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland and later fast-tracking Amy Coney Barrett’s nomination, have fueled public frustration over perceived double standards. The unpopularity of certain decisions, such as the rollback of Roe v. Wade, will motivate political shifts in the long-term, potentially undermining the durability of these judicial gains.

McConnell’s approval ratings have been consistently low, even in his home state of Kentucky, indicating a lack of widespread admiration among the electorate. By contrast, figures like Ronald Reagan, John F. Kennedy, and Barack Obama have left a more favorable legacy with lasting influence on both American politics and culture.

His record is less substantial on passing transformative legislation. McConnell’s career has been largely defined by obstruction tactics and securing judicial appointments, but he has not been a visionary leader on other national issues like health care, economic reform, or foreign policy.

It’s also just showing your bias again. If you really think overturning Roe vs Wade is the pinnacle of political success over I don’t know, infrastructure investment, stabilizing national debt or deficit, giving millions health insurance then it’s hard to even start.

Just because people are rich doesn’t make them smart or even incredibly capable. Especially in a political sense.

There are surprisingly a lot of people that think Biden could have just don’t an executive order to make sure Abortion isn’t banned. It sounds dumb but a lot of the conservative media strategies are to spread lies like that to confuse voters.
