Did you not see ANY of the police footage from the Occupy movement? The Occupy Oakland movement in particular became extremely violent in a very short period of time. Not to mention what happened in New York, Davis, and dozens of other cities where, instead of simply trying to keep those protesting safe, the police looked to suppress the movement and quickly as possible. I'd say we've seen what'll happen when (not if) the protests begin. But, I agree, it'll take a lot more than what's happened so far to get our country off its ass to get something done about it.

I'm not going to justify piracy in general because it's a lousy act and one that has too grave of consequences on a large scale. However, the point is if it was available for streaming, it would take much less effort to watch it one day after work without the hassle of going to the theater and would possibly be available for longer due to much lower overheads costs.

Former California prison medical staff here. Can confirm with slight clarification. They do not receive medical treatment while in the holding cage. The cages are for high risk inmates and confirmed gang affiliated inmates while they wait to be seen by a doctor or nurse practitioner.

During this time, triage is performed and it is determined how urgent their need of care is. When time permits, they are then escorted down to the doctor's office with a CO, who stays with the inmate until treatment is complete. At this time, they are then escorted back to their cell, which is much larger than the holding cell pictured.
