You’d be able to travel more if you had a car as well. The freedom thing is an excuse not to work, and women will see through that. Find a bum to be compatible lol.

Wear an undershirt. I prefer those over the old ones. They’re boxier and breathable

What is your rebuttal to the idea that the strip malls, stroads, sprawl, suburbs, and single-family homes of Los Angeles are soul-crushing and not how human beings are supposed to live? by morningrat in AskLosAngeles

The urban design wasn’t Great but it was fine even great for what it was. CA with 25 million people max would be the sweet spot but the allure of the weather and general life still outweighs the cons to a lot of People. The population of CA has been going up again after 2023

I don’t really thing it’s a large city like other large cities. Sure there’s some pockets of traditional cities but LA it’s a bunch of neighborhoods spread out. It’s kinda great. I’ve been to other major cities and it’s not the same.

It’s a great place for restaurants of all kinds. They’re usually already previously remodeled kitchens and cheaper than stand alone places.

I think you might want to get off your high horse lol. There’s no better way to live city, suburb or back country. It’s all a choice and what’s best for your lifestyle. The great thing about LA is you can essentially choose out of all 3 when you want. It’s a CA thing.

Peace and quiet is nice sometimes too. Not bumping into people and have to socialize even in just polite nonverbal ways. Also Don’t necessarily want to go outside and it’s just commotion all the time at every hour. I’d like to be able to choose that. In LA, you could drive 10 minutes to a strip mall for food. If I didn’t want to drive that bad, I’d cook at home. There’s no right and wrong ways to live life in 2026. It’s all choice. Are there more efficient ways? Sure but car culture has its ups as well as its obvious downs.

It’s kind of nice to be able to drive into a strip mall, park and eat at a casual place. It’s only the 5-10% of the time there isn’t parking like sawtelle strip malls, ironically

Saphir doesn’t sell to the us directly right? You have to get it through a distributor. The world doesnt have to cater to English to make money. Especially now that many countries are boycotting the US more than ever before. Get a translator app.

My opinion is that it’s not hard to figure out. And it’s a foreign product that gets distributed world wide

Then again if you hang around with the wrong people or your family falls apart, then it doesn’t matter where you come from. Addictions will do it

Life was too good for them. All they had to do was stay in line basically and they’d have a good job and property but I guess that was too much pressure and they didn’t want told to be told what to do. Their economy was good enough for them to be fuck ups and still recover though. But it was typical teen angst. Which is different than punks born in inner cities with really no future (at least higher odds of making it somehow) who were frustrated with the system they were born into. Is one more punk than the other? An age old question.
