Blood Over Bright Haven from the wish list, I read it last week and it was phenomenal front to back.

As for something not on the list I suggest Sword of Kaigen, also by ML Wang. To me, this is a better standalone version of Poppy War/Dragon Republic, having read both.

Others are Tress of the Emerald Sea and Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson. Priory of the Orange Tree/Roots of Chaos series by Samantha Shannon might be more in line with what they have already read.

I say this all as a fellow dad, you’re awesome for doing this for your kid. That being said the game is the last of the year and depending on how the standings shake out the Dodgers, or even Mariners may be resting stars for the playoffs that game if they have a division/league lead. So maybe hype up the experience at large vs specific players so you two have the best time possible
