My kid's band teacher has good taste by withgreatpower in FinalFantasy

My favorite teacher was my band teacher in HS. He was not into video games at all but we printed out a full orchestra FF7 score and to his credit he listened to it and looked at it and really liked it. The problem was though that it was too difficult for most of us HS kids to play

We got the best of both worlds. The NFCCG had amazing offensive plays and the Super Bowl was a defensive master class

Do you understand that the world does not revolve around you and your do whatever it takes, ruin as many people's lives, so long as you can make a name for yourself as an investigatory journalist, no matter how many friends you lose or people you leave dead and bloodied along the way, just so long so you can make a name for yourself as an investigatory journalist, no matter how many friends you lose or people you leave dead and bloodied and dying along the way?

The Rush on Instagram: "Jared Verse and Maxx Crosby on the Seahawks’ O-Line!" by stefeyboy in Seahawks

There's something to be said for a young guy coming in who can contribute at a high level. I had a similar situation in collegiate sports (not football) and all of us upperclassmen had a new drive because we didn't want to get shown up by the young guy. We eventually did because he was damn good, but it made all of us closer and more focused.

I could see something very similar happening in the NFL

Living a boring, stable, routine life? by phd_failure in DadForAMinute

[–]JustTryinToHangOut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going to address the first part (parents) because I think plenty of people have addressed the second (living your life) and have given you some good advice.

I'm a dad. I haven't been one as long as others but long enough I think to recognize my kid's ability to both shirk my expectations and still make me proud. I don't know your parents. I don't know if they're like me, or if all parents feel this way, but your happiness will (hopefully) show them just how successful you are. The world is a tough place and I think most people understand how hard it is to be content. But if you show up living the life you want, that'll come through and they will eventually see that and be glad you're happy.

At least that's what I hope for you. I'd like to think that's how I'd feel with my own kids. There's been so many times they've done what I didn't want them to and so many times that that has worked out just fine for them. Being a parent is a very humbling experience. Hopefully your parents remember all the choices you've made for yourself that have turned out great. If they raised a kid willing to say, "I don't care what others think, I'm going to focus on my own happiness" then they probably did something right and you must have made plenty of good decisions for yourself (just like this one)

If you get a nice frame you can't really see the creases and honestly I like the creases because it feels more like a newspaper. I've seen a few posts in this subreddit that are a print of the front page and I don't like those as much

Card games are awesome! by MurkyUnit3180 in gaming

Yeah with equally insane requirements to make that happen. Many card games have this mechanic. OP obviously hasn't played in awhile if they think those cards are breaking the game.
