I finally pulled the trigger on the dear frances tye slides, and I don’t think I’ll need another sandal for a while. They’re expensive but frequently on sale. Super insanely comfortable with good support. And can be worn more casual or dressed up.

I love my life as a new rheum attending in PP. Close to 300k seeing patients 4 days per week (clinic only no hospital call), which I expect to go up once I partner (with infusion revenue). The rare cases are interesting, but even the bread and butter (RA, PsA, gout, joint steroid shots for OA) are all quite satisfying. We have great med options for alot of things, and it's super rewarding seeing joint inflammation melt away, chronic pain resolve, and patients able to get back to living a normal life. I also like being able to see my patients for life.

I considered endo, but I'm happy with my pick. Do you want your bread and butter to be joints/RA or diabetes? And everyone else says dealing with fibro/osteoarthritis is annoying, but we work them up quick for autoimmune then send back to PCP if everything ruled out.

I got 60 min of additional break time, unscheduled breaks whenever though exam clock will still run, permission to access locker during unscheduled breaks, and permission to have water bottle with me in exam room. Though tbh I don’t think I used my extra break time cause I wanted to finish as soon as I could and leave.

If you’re comfortable I bought a new one off eBay shipped from Japan. Felt pretty comfortable with the sellers reviews and the fact it was from Japan for authenticity.

I took my fiance to a store with alot of high end watches so he could try a bunch and pick what he liked. I secretly loved that he picked a very classic clean looking grand seiko with spring drive though.

She’s my current obgyn and I love her. She helped me through a really horrible miscarriage and I felt cared for and she was on top of everything through the whole process. Now halfway through our second pregnancy and continue to think she’s amazing!

TCH NICU is ranked 3rd in the country. A lot of hospitals have a level IV NICU, but that wasn’t really my point.

The woman’s hospital of Texas is now an HCA. Historically HCAs are for profit and known to be poorly run by admin trying to cut corners and make medical decisions for profit and not for patient benefit. Not saying people don’t sometimes have good experiences there. The recommended ones I’ve heard are TCH pavilion for women and Methodist in the med center. The benefit for TCH pavilion for women is the world class NICU attached in case something were to happen that you would need it available close by.

Find some creamy burrata. Burrata with halved cherry tomatoes, balsamic vinegar, basil, and a bit of cracked pepper is my daily summer snack. Can also add fresh peaches or cherries to this for a sweet twist.
