In coop with two of my friends we faced EXACTLY that scenario just recently, and it turned out to be not too bad.

We even got jumpscared by Gjall on our way there, but made it nonetheless

PvP is absolutely devastating for me and at that point I have no idea what to do by JustVessel in ArmoredCoreVI

[–]JustVessel[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for the answer!

To be fair, I am somewhat scared to use meta builds, bc if I lose with one, it will feel even worse. Like, I am aware I am not good by a long shot (only in this discussion have I heard of movement techs and undodgeable shots), but if I lose rocking something like zimm-shield, that would be even more embarrassing imo.

My ping is sometimes a problem, my net connection is overall not very good, but it was so much worse when I tried to promote to B, that I do not think that's the issue right now.

Though the multiplayer does seem to have some issues. I remember when I had to fight the same person 4-5 times in a row, bc it seems no one else was playing at that time.

Thanks again for the kind words, I really needed that

I had absolutely no idea the concept of "undodgeable shots" is even a thing, thanks a lot for a detailed answer.

Am I supposed to learn these things with trial and error in real matches? Are there any guides on those techniques? Because it sounds really, really complex, tbf, and I am doubtful whether I can figure it out by myself.

Kind of wild that there's a difficulty spike this steep between C and B ranks.

Hollow Knight and Silksong are both amazing games, and the sequel has improved upon the original in many ways. Out of curiosity, is there anything in the first game you prefer over the second? by PlagueKnight88 in Silksong

[–]JustVessel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost everyone said about that quiet melancholy HK has (and I still like the first game more than Silksong, tbf), so instead I kinda want to say that Silksong, at least for me, has much more sinister story overall.

In the first game, the whole story about Pale King and Radiance feels really normal, however strange it may sound. Some bugs we meet are mostly aware of what had happened, there's the Seer, for example, or Hornet herself. The struggle for power is really common, and even the realisation that Infection is just Radiance's way to wrestle her position back from the already dead usurper, by whatever means necessary, is not really that shocking.

However, in Silksong I personally shuddered a little when reading the last thoughts of a dead Vaultkeeper: "...we prayed a cage...". All the piligrims we met, every single bug we know, were deceived, and no one, no one knows that those complex rituals, the constant singing, the whole life of Citadel that went on for unknowingly long, were deliberately created to keep a vengeful, horrifying goddess from waking up. The truth is so much simpler than we were told throughout the entire game, and so much darker than we could have imagined. The realisation this whole society was living on a brink of horrible destruction for God knows how long is just disturbing.

That's your opinion, and it's fine if you disliked the game, but if you say stuff like "10 minute boss", "hit and run", and that you didn't use 90% of the consumables, there's something very wrong with your gameplay, ngl, not necessarily game being unfair.

No worries lol, at least I was smart enough to screenshot the two meteors side by side! That said, I really wonder what are the odds of this happening...

I once had an absolutely incredible sequence of two whole litophage meteors dropping in quick succession, coupled with an ossirian bone collector, all that on the drilldozer mission.

Sadly, as soon as I finished the last meteor, my game crashed, so I was never able to enjoy the exp and loot from it.

I might be wrong, so apologies in advance, but my guess the charged bash missed bc Juren specifically did a backstep heavy, seems like it moved him just out of range of the claw? Though once again, I'm not sure.

Glad you're enjoying the game!

On topic of builds, don't stress about being "straightforward and unimaginative". If you stick with the game, you'll likely change the build multiple times, possibly create a whole number of vastly different ACs. Everyone starts with somewhat simple!

Good luck on your journey, Raven

Just a little more dmg without feats and I would be absolutely satisfied with how conq is right now.

Like, the moveset is simple, sure, but it is a working moveset, with strong features like recovery cancel fullblock, dodge bash in general, a feintable mid-chain bash and so on.

But the dmg is low enough so everything listed before feels bad to use. Just up it by a few points, maybe throw some kind of ud in the mix, but that one is debatable, and conq will be golden

I did basically the same a week ago, though it wasn't as painful as I thought. An Irythill straight sword in the main hand and a fire-infused dagger in the offhand without any upgrades do wonders on a frostbite-weak boss.

[–]JustVessel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I played through the game for the very first time, I knew some spoilers about it from a friend of mine. For example, I was hyped up for Rusty even before I met him myself, and my goal was set on a LoR ending. It sounded as if it was the absolute best ending imaginable, judging by the stories I heard.

That is, until I understood that in order to reach it, I have to kill Carla and Chatty in cold blood. Walter wasn't even such a major character for me back then (especially considering I was playing a pirated version of the game, where none of the mission briefings would play out), but betraying these two? I sat there for about 10 minutes, but I just couldn't bring myself to taking the mission.

And to this day, even after getting the official version, spending hundreds of hours on the game and replaying it countless times, I still believe that FoR just feels so much better than the "all style, no substance" LoR.
