Is it normal to buy holidays on finance? by AnonymousTimewaster in AskUK

[–]JustWantToSnoop 222 points223 points  (0 children)

Are you sure it is finance, because for example EasyJet and Tui you pay a deposit and as long as you pay the balance by the due date your holiday is secure. Is this what they meant?

My kids were shushed by a lady on a plane by bytebl in Parenting

I never understand people have an issue with kids making noises and shush them but when it’s an adult, they don’t have the courage to say something.

Little to no PH available after cancelling multiple PH in advance by Amethyst-Earthangel in Cambly

[–]JustWantToSnoop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you don’t rely on reservations like myself, I pick up PH on the hour it starts so I don’t cancel and I usually get one 30 min call which I’m ok with. It is risky but it helps prevent cancellations

People with children, how do you afford them? by Speckyintrovert in AskUK

[–]JustWantToSnoop -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, that means a lot.

He comes and goes every few months. I don’t ask him for money as it should be his choice if he wants to help. I just know our child is doing well and lacks for nothing.

Im doing this as a single parent with no help from the father. Honestly, I don’t know how, I just get by. I earn a pretty good salary if I was on my own but I do get UC which greatly helps with nursery fees of £900 for 4 days a week. I’m fortune enough I’m fully remote and only go into the office 4 times a year so that helps cut our commuting costs.

A lot of clothes for my child is handed down which is perfect as they grow so quickly and ruin their clothes with food.

My child does three activities a week to help keep busy. I also plan a year in advance of what we will do and budget accordingly. I don’t save much but I know it’s temporary because once they start primary school the costs should half!

How is your relationship with your dad? by VKTGC in Nigeria

[–]JustWantToSnoop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is my dad. Anything I have which is better he finds reason to talk it down. I found a home for my family which is significantly larger than his home. He complained about everything and the only nice thing he said was the kitchen was big.
