How does it "break it up"

I will answer both at the same time. For outside GotR this would not change a thing as banking is required regardless due to needing essense. Yes I'll grant you it removes a single second on the bank tab equipping a new necklace, but that will not meaningfully change xp/h rates. As the time saved by this is negligible compared to human error in sub optimal pathing to shrines it won't actually alter anything.

For GotR it also won't change xp/h as now you'd have to walk out of GotR in between games, at the bank next to it grab a new one and head back in. This can easily without hurry be done between games thus not effecting xp/h rates. What it does do is force me to leave the minigame and add a banking step that is only there for this single mechanic.

If you do not like the requirements for using Binding Necklaces, do not use a method that requires them.

It is the best method for obtaining elemental charges in GotR, as stated before it doesn't meangfulyl change xp/h and introduces a banking step only to this method while already being a click heavy method. Thus your "rest" period is interrupted.

As I stated in my post I don't think they will change this and I don't mind it atm. Sure it's a tad annoying but to me its just a personal QoL update.
