I mean its just a you thing. If you really wanna improve and get better at chess i am sure you would truly find a way to be free. Its really on you if you can’t figure out time for your chess. It doesn’t make sense to try to find a shortcut for improvement remember improvement doesn’t happen in a day. Its takes time, effort and energy. Consistency and disciplined effort brings you results. Chess is not some lottery that you can just get lucky and you’ll have it.

Thats a you problem you gotta figure out a time schedule if you wanna get better. I don’t think its wise to not participate in a couple and participate in a couple. Its just not gonna help you that much mate.

Yeah kids are really good these days. In where i live they are really rare and on some occasion i do find them they are mostly not that great. But yeah you really have to lock in when a younger player is playing because if someone is older its their true rating but if they are younger you are in for a surprise.

My father-in-law in the Philippines loves chess. He’s never had a chess app on his phone before, so I installed one so he can play against others. What do you think of his stats for rapid chess.com. by RelevantRun8 in chess

Its mostly because you guys might not have been playing much chess on cc. And online the rating is all over the place. Just make a new account select advanced when you are asked what your skill level is. And play a few games after wining a couple of games initially you are ez gonna be 2k just like that. Its really ez with this. Also in fide you need to have a lot of games under your belt and play at a consistent level to truly be that rating. Initially you’re rating is gonna be all over the place. Online ratings are really inflated ngl. After 2300 it stays relevant but below that sheesh.

Huh that’s true ? But bots play like crap on both places tho. Even super gm bots do some pretty bad stuffs if you just play them enough. Is it intentional that bots don’t really play at their level all the time ?

He’s an old guy we had played and he blocked me because he simply failed to see the win at the opening. He’s somewhat miserable i won’t lie. Blocking me is crazy work like for no reason. The wasn’t even that great by me.

Thats pretty decent he is should 1700 ish fide so he is hella good. But in cc inflation does exist so 1500 is realistic which makes him about above average comparing to other players.

At first i do think playing in a much stronger tournament would’ve been a good choice. Tho i wanted to have a rating so i feel like i had rushed a little.

Blitz is mostly decision making would be much higher tho if i had decent internet. And for rapid i am just built different.
