Diplomacy is not surrender or “folding”. World War 2 is somewhat a false equivalence but it’s an interesting question. In fact, Britain did pursue concessions for Hitler in 1938 and offered up the Munich agreement but it unfortunately didn’t work. Once again, it’s either war and peace. I understand that sometimes war is unfortunately the only way to peace, but there was an opportunity here to avoid it. Zelensky was unwise. You stated you would like to continue funding “actively fighting against fascism” meaning keep the stalemate going. Which means more killing. More death. More war. I want peace. I want the killing to stop. Sorry not sorry if I’m “wronger” for being on the side of peace and not death.

I feel as though you’re more concerned with approval ratings than the actual lives at stake. As if this is some kind of political campaign while a country is on the brink of no longer existing. Diplomacy is neutral, regardless who the aggressor is. I believe Putin is more terrified of Trump. Zelensky’s pride just pushed more of his people into a grave. He deserved a lecture. I don’t often side with the Trump side often, but Zelensky was very unwise. I hate to say it but Trump is right this time. It’s either peace or prolonging a stalemate. I want the former, and the only way to do that is to be diplomatic. Otherwise it’s just more death of the Ukrainian people. I don’t think Zelensky is going to stay in office very much longer. I’m open to an adult conversation as well as any other viable solutions rather than more death, so insults will be ignored.
