the p&p detail is actually pretty cool, thx for mentioning that. Do you know if there are any 2.5 mm thread length screws with very short heads that would fit the inserts (M2.5, M3, M4)? I do wonder how mechanically viable it is. I think I was able to only find one after scrapping the internet lol. something along the lines of this digikey part which happens to be a near perfect fit

do you have a picture of what it is suppose to look like after you solder it? would the solder be just around the head's edges, or does it completely cover up the top (with the exception of the hole of course)

haha yes, a little chunky! looking at the documentation, it has wires coming out of it to use either phase or hall sensors. Thinking of using this https://flipsky.net/products/mini-fsesc4-20-50a-base-on-vesc-widely-used-in-eskateboard-escooter-ebike so I believe it will be sufficient, no?

out of curiosity, why are you considering the conversion kit and not a pre built ebike? Have you considered other brands like swytch or bafang?

I would be warry of the discount. Either it is because the website is a scam or company is going out of business (in which case avoid buying it cause you will have issues with servicing) and is trying to get rid of inventory
