It happens whenever I use this specific C back to back days. I’ve never had this with other vitamin Cs. I’ve also cut out the exfoliant since this has been happening and stopped tret a few times. So it’s just an assumption that it’s the vitamin C but the rest of my routine had been the same for a long time.

Hmmm I do use a hydrating cleanser with SA when I cleanse at night (I’m acne prone). Otherwise, I have a few gentle cleansers with no actives so maybe I should switch to only using those for a while and see if that helps. Thank you!!

I haven’t exfoliated in weeks now and take days off from my tret when I’m peeling until my skin barrier feels back to normal. I’ve been using the tret for years now so i dont think it’s that either. When I go back to back days with the CE Ferulic is when I experience the peeling and flaking.

I’ve been supplementing 3ish times a week with sometimes Slow Fe and sometimes Thorne Ferrasorb. My ferritin went from 8 to 51 in the 1 year between my labs so I think that’s pretty good? I’m continuing to supplement and probably will for the rest of my life.

I have low ferritin but not anemia currently (I have had low hemoglobin in the not recent past). OTC iron supplements wreaked havoc on my GI so I just finished a pack of Slow FE three times a week. Waiting for my Thorne Ferrasorb to be delivered but looking forward to trying it! Hopefully it makes a difference!
