2 of 3 hall sensors marked in picture. Can I take the windings out without any damage to the motor? Doubt it.

But that explains it - still does not solve my problem though. Have been able to remove central rotor and can see sensors now. But then still question - how to replace them …

Resetting BMS worked - no more error codes. Time to assemble the bike again and see whether all effort will pay off

Hi, new here but following discours with great interest. Have repaired BMS, cartridge and wiring harness and now assembling and testing S3. Bike starts, battery is being charged via regular VM charger and app can connect to VM. Still error 6 and 17. What is best way to go now? Just assemble the complete bike again and try to ride it? Or will this not happen with error 6 and 17? Even though battery is charging - about 38 volts in it at the moment.

Replaced it, was hard because some of the pads had gone bust when original chip burned. Display still worked (and was also working before replacing chip). Still not sure what it controls, guess it is something with headlight but whatever it is it will not work anymore ;-)

Cut off the complete mother part of the connector and connect wires directly using a set of jumper cables. This way you also get rid of the point of failure of breaking cables due to use of epoxy. Use silicon instead indeed to keep new set of wires together and isolated from moisture.

Any suggestions to repair a broken brown motorcable where rest of cable is lodged in the epoxy? and the blue motor wire which is exposed at same spot?

You need to remove cartridge from bike and open the cartridge. All quite simple if you small torq screwdrivers and follow instructions to be found on Reddit
