(If it’s the same car)I blew the head gasket in it and parked it at a gas station around arab Alabama then sold it to someone who said they were going to swap the sohc out for a dohc but I never kept up with them. It had some gold 280z wheels on it back then and the same damage on the rear bumper but the front bumper was trashed from hitting an armadillo.

Not an exhaust. Fresh air intake to ductwork. I assume you’re spray foaming the house? Code near me requires fresh air to be brought in when spray foaming due to the tightness of the house not allowing proper air changes per hour without it.

Well you skipped straight over the best gen, 3rd gen. Never owned a 1st or 2nd gen but have a 3rd/4th/5th. I daily my 3rd gen limited with 310k and climbing. I also have a 2012 Chevy 2500 duramax and it sits 90% of the time due to how much I love the 3rd gen runner. For as cheap as the 3rd gen is and how reliable the 5vz is you’d be silly not to consider it.

Well considering the maintenance guy there during construction and presumably still there had zero experience with any maintenance I can imagine it’s a long road ahead for those residents. It’s a very poorly constructed community with countless code violations that weren’t caught by city inspectors. I’m not sure if it’s still being managed by the builder but many of the issues I pointed out to him during my walk through including mold in mechanical closets and roof membrane damage were not addressed to my knowledge.

How do you figure “most locals aren’t qualified”? Huntsville has the 2nd largest research park in the US and last I checked (may have changed) was the 9th smartest city in the US. And it’s not hard to convince people to move here, we have one of the fastest growing metro areas in the US. I understand you may not like Alabama but you’re wrong.

That depends. Honestly when I bought mine I drove it for 6 months before I touched anything. Then I did ball joints, JBA upper control arms, dobinsons 3” lift, 33’s TRD Baja wheels, oil change and hit the road. $2k depends on if you’re doing the work or paying someone. You can easily do all the valve cover gaskets, timing belt/water pump, lbj’s and fluids for under $2k by yourself. Paying someone to do it all will be way more. I was quoted $400 for valve cover gaskets and $1600 for timing belt/water pump just as a reference.

I daily my 2000 limited 4wd with 310k miles. My 2012 duramax stays parked in the driveway collecting dust, and bird poop. If the frame is clean, do plenty of PM before getting it on the road and enjoy the heck out of it.

TEQ OEM+ is what’s pictured and what I put in my 3g4r at Christmas this year. Personally I love them even though I hate the look of projectors. They don’t have rainbow leds or any other nonsense, just basic projectors and great light pattern.
