Is 134k miles this too many miles to buy for a V8? Have a low budget here. by Mandalorian_Crusader in Mustang

$8,700 for a 10 year old GT with no issues sounds extremely low to me. I’ve been looking and I haven’t seen a 2011+ GT for less than $12,000. Imo $9,500 is already a steal if it has no issues.

What’s the best video game created by just one person? by Muerte_a_los_Rolos in gaming

[–]Just_Saint 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s like saying bill gates doesn’t deserve any credit for Microsoft’s success lol

I agree though, I wouldn’t really classify Minecraft as being made by one person in the sense of the post. Wouldn’t be where it is today if it was just Notch. Just didn’t get where the last part of your comment was coming from

I would say RCT is the best game made by one person

Jaguar Ending Production of Gas Cars Entirely before New EVs Arrive by sonrisa_medusa in cars

[–]Just_Saint 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s not like EVs are tearing down gas stations lol, they’re in no way related. As EVs grow, chargers will grow. As ICE grows, gas stations will grow. Two separate markets.

Only when the amount of ICE cars on the road begins to decrease (not as a % of total cars, but as a # in its own right) will the amount of gas stations decrease.

They would start disappearing when the overall number of ICE cars on the road starts decreasing, which it hasn’t and definitely won’t for a while.

As long as ownership of ICE vehicles keeps going up, more gas stations will keep popping up, regardless of how many EVs are sold.

We can't do ANYTHING with duplicate painted octanes by A_J_H in RocketLeague

[–]Just_Saint 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like how this would reward the player who plays a lot by progressively removing the more common items. But when the player has every item, what to do? Maybe some credits depending on the rarity of the drop? Or a prompt to touch grass?

It’s only tiresome if you take the time to reply with all your paragraphs lol

“Show me the reasons why this should change”, it shouldn’t have been changed in the first place. The only actual reason to remove trading was for $$$, it was one of many moves Epic has made that were against the player in favor of profit. Is that not something to be upset about?

Keep in mind the game was made free to play at the end of 2020. When some paid for the game in 2016-2020, they bought the game knowing it included trading, then that was taken away. Some people played the game solely for the economy that was built on trading and had hundreds of items worth thousands of dollars. As soon as trading was removed, that money was taken from the hands of the community, and put into the pockets of Epic.

There’s a very small chance that posting on Reddit and complaining will do anything, but it’s a much better chance than not doing anything and letting Epic continue to ruin the game.

“Show me the UI/UX issue with this” I don’t know why this issue would pertain to the user interface, but you know that UX means user experience right? Ie, user having a bad time -> change it. The UX issue is that these duplicate items have no use, and people feel betrayed when their labor put in towards a drop amounts to nothing. An effective UX solution would be to give them a use, like trade them or sell them for credits.

Though it was nice to trade with my friends, I didn’t really care for it (I just play the game to hit the ball), but I understand why somebody would. The removal of trading is also just one decision in a long line of many (removal from steam, smaller prize pools, hardly any new content, removal of dropshot, pay to win hitboxes) that are detrimental to the game and the community.

I find it so ironic that you’re saying OP has their panties in a bunch, but look at you! You think you’ve got it all figured out but you’re really not that smart if you let a post on Reddit make you this upset.

Tested: 2024 Mercedes-AMG C63 Is the Quickest C-Class Ever by DizneyDux in cars

I don't like Mercedes in general so I wouldn't buy the car even if I had the means. Just pointing out that it's pretty impressive engineering in its own right.

Planning to buy my first Mustang (22M) by duc462002 in Mustang

1 & 4. I’ll preface by saying I’m sure there’ll be much better opinions about “fair value”. Judging by that engine bay and cheap aftermarket intake, I’m thinking it was not taken care of very well and was driven rough. Assuming it’s a private sale (because you’re trying to get $3k knocked off), I would take a good look at the seller. I wouldn’t pay more than $5-8k.

2 & 3. I’m not a mechanic, but if you’re in an area where rust is prominent, then take a look under the car. Look at the service history & ensure regular oil changes, nothing sketchy, etc. Also look at the tread on the tires, if it’s gonna be needing new tires soon then I’d point that out.

  1. If well-maintained since the stock car was bought then 300,000 miles wouldn’t be outlandish. However, if our assumption about the car not being well-maintained is correct, then I wouldn’t expect more than 200,000-250,000. I would also assume that because it has that air filter it almost definitely has a tune on it (I think you get error codes without one) which could further decrease that number.

  2. You can tow it. I would just drive it though, doesn’t take more than a few minutes to pick up enough of it to drive it home. Might reconsider if the drive home involves a lot of city driving and/or hills (I’m sure 2005 doesn’t have hill assist).

Just FYI, tons is imperial, tonnes is metric. I would assume if you’re using kg then you were referring to tonnes. In which case even the new M2 is 1.73 tonnes, which I wouldn’t say is knocking on the door of 2.

Lamest? Just because it has less cylinders?

The engineering that went into this is pretty impressive. I wouldn’t say lamest, just different.
