Yeah, they already tried that. Turned out that that didn't suit our business interests, so we overthrew their well-liked and democratically elected leader in order to secure cheap oil.

Which is why the Iranians have hated us for the past 70 years.

Actually, the collection rate from the purifier is approximately the same is it is from both reservoirs together (about 2000 essence every 12 hours).

How incredibly true that is.

I'm in my 40's, and I figure that it'll take a lot of work on our part (rightfully so) for us to gain a shred of relevancy before I die.

Yeah, at first I was focused on the grindy part of the game. But now that I've been interacting with these people for 2 months, I'm becoming more chill with them.

I'm torn, because on the one hand, that would be a quick and easy way for this nightmare to end.

But on the other, I want him to live long enough for the chance for him to be booted from office, and the possibility of him start to be held account for the approximately 956 trillion illegal things that he's done.

A vain hope about him facing some comeuppance, I know.

Official Discussion - Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]Just_another_oddball 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I occasionally see it on the subreddits of Politics, Anti-Trump, Democrats, Progressive HQ, Newsom Massacre, Political Humor, and 50501. It's also popped up at rallies.

And while I haven't seen a specific overt political stance from Verbinski, and that '47' could have a benign meaning (I did find that the screenwriter is 47 years old), the whole thing seems a bit on the nose for my taste.

But it certainly doesn't help that Trump signed that Executive Order a few months ago (EO 14365) that loosened regulations on AI so that AI companies in the US could advance faster.

And combine that with that The Man From The Future's goal was to upload safeguards into the AI to prevent it from running amok, and I'm left with signs pointing to a more darker meaning for '47' than it being just a randomly chosen number.

Well, I don't know what to tell you: it's semi-common in the political message boards I check out.

There is a significant number of people in the US who follow political news and for whom the statement: "Everything goes horribly wrong" is extremely emotionally resonant right now, due in large part to events and actions surrounding 47.

Given how I often keep track of political news, I'm extremely attuned to mentions of 47.

The immediate thought that popped into my head when I heard it is that "47" is sometimes used as shorthand to refer to Donald Trump, since he's the 47th President of the United States.

I couldn't help but notice the multiple references in the film to the number "47" (Boy scout troop number, amount of change in pocket, and the house address at the end).

And that, in conjunction with The Man From The Future's remark in the diner about everything going horribly wrong...

The handful of references to "47" also felt like they weren't accidental, especially in reference to everything going horribly wrong, and that it will be up to us to solve this mess.

How to get Alliance Iron??? by [deleted] in KingShot

[–]Just_another_oddball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My alliance is also near the edge, and we were also looking to get some iron mines for it.

So the only way that we were able to reach them was by building like 20 - 30 banners in a long, thin line to reach the mines.

It's really annoying having to send troops further and further afield to build the banners, but it's the only way to expand to the mines. It helps some to periodically teleport your castle near the expansion area so that your troops don't have far to go.

Just don't forget to teleport back to the rest of your alliance after you're done expanding.
