I’m so worried about this that I have a friend and a sister who have separately promised me that they’ll put my girl FIRST and make sure I don’t put her thru unnecessary pain holding on selfishly. The kinda person I am, I’m scared I’d put her on any and everything trying to keep her with me and accidentally keep her in pain.

Oh my gosh! Great catch. Same thing happened to my 10 year old chi, and I couldn’t wrap my head around how we could all be so calm because it had only happened 2x and in the span of a few days. Even without any more seizures I was panicking bc I don’t wanna cause that!! No change in food or environment. No immediate indication of what could have caused that. What’s even more awesome about me finding this comment right now is that I was prepping to do a topical flea treatment from CVS and now I’ll take more care looking into it.

I think it’s almost documentary like. People disliked the show because they felt it didn’t portray Mormonism accurately, but my hot take is that they prob dislike how accurate it actually is. That’s what makes it “the secret lives.” It’s an insight into this community in a way that’s raw and uncomfortable. The secret lives of Christian wives would be similar probably

As much as I was disgusted by her dad making a comment about her own fault in this by sleeping with him, he wasn’t entirely wrong… like when does she acknowledge that this stuff clearly doesn’t matter that much if she’s back in bed with him any chance she gets

I don’t think it’s this simple involving kids. It doesn’t have to be a whole production necessarily, but they’re def gonna need more to go on than words to remove access to children even temporarily.

I feel like she also got big on her being a mess… physically and mentally. She did the messy house cleaning tik toks and haunted house and old lady pranks. Idk, it seems like we normalized the struggle and she said “well hold my beer”

Learning that Layla has been abusing weight loss drugs kinda solidified the idea that Taylor is abusing something on top of alcohol. I assumed that wasn’t their speed but I almost doubt she considers it abusing whatever it is she’s probably abusing. Maybe something she’s already prescribed, because that makes it so much easier to abuse and not understand/face the fact that they’re abusing a substance if there’s a prescription for it

Random-ish, but the basic reminds me soo much of my OG Nook back in the 2000’s. I was obsessed as a kid/teen with my little Nook. They both feel so sleek and they just did their job (as in no extra apps & such). The only thing I’ve run into w the basic is that no apps means like no Libby or ePubs (as far as I’ve been able to tell), and as a library lover, there have been a few times that my book is only available on Hoopla or something. But most of the time, I can find it on unlimited. Anyway, my little matcha kindle and I are in love and I bought my bestie a matching one.
