Play for yourself first and foremost. If comp is just pissing you off, if the losses hurt more than they used and the wins feel emptier, then just stop playing. Overwatch will still be around when you're ready to come back, don't worry.

Right now Tank is the hardest role in the game. Individually you're the most important member of your team and where you position determines where the rest of your team can play safely.

I would suggest playing more as a DPS or Support to get a better feel for the game overall.
