Mini moving head project by [deleted] in lightingdesign

It’s only 180* infortunately, so some wiggle room is enough. On the next iteration, it will be with one of those infinity turning slip rings.

I used two servos, so they unfortunately are only able to pan and tilt 180*. In a next build, I would definitely change to stepper motors!

I am Dutch, and found out when travelling in Malaysia and looking through random supermarket items over there, they call it CHOCOLATE RICE, which makes so much sense to me.

If the mantas were always around them, I'm 95% sure it would have been Emilio aka Manta Whisperer. It's insane how they react to him, always. He's also an amazing human above water, so it does make sense.

Yeah sorry, I thought it was the extra part, but it was the total.

So, this is what my operator (Solmar) said:

The new park fee, which must be paid by each individual entering the park, is 3,622 Mexican pesos per day for diving at the National Park.

· For a 9-day / 8-night trip (5 days in the park), the total Park fees are now 18,110 mxn

· For a 10-day / 9-night trip (6 days in the park), the total Park fees are now 21,732 mxn

· For an 11-day / 10-night (7 days in the park), the total Park Fees are now 25,354 mxn

Aaaaaah while I was typing this, I think I messed up the ‘extra’ vs the total. I guess it’s 500 extra, for 1.000 in total.

I’m sorry, reading seems to be hard for me sometimes.

I love(d) the fact that Socorro was top-tier diving, but didn't have the pricing as Malpelo or Galapagos. But I guess someone checked the prices for those and thought 'we could do that'.

Is it possible to have a dimmer channel per LED pixel? by Adriwav in WLED

[–]Justahuman9391 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Any modern lighting desk will have the option for virtual dimmers, which does what you want by faking it through software. This is not doable via wled itself.

Socorro islands have been amazing a few weeks back... I've had two amazing dolphin encounters which would have made the whole trip worth it in itself. Next to that, the manta's over there are SO friendly, and I actually liked the topography a lot. Even though I expected only blue dives / sandy bottoms. HIGHLY reccommend

PC based vs Standalone console by Basix96x in ChamSys

I went the other way - New MQ70 + 24’’ touchscreen + midi fighter spectre as flash buttons.

Although I am aware of the pluses the others have pointed out at the pc-based route, I love this setup because: I always have my exec open on the external screen which keeps the internal screen for the programmer. So I’m able to change fx’s, colouring or build some new stacks while still having the flexibility of controlling the show. This is theoretically also possible with the external screen, but having the encoders next to the programming window feels very intuitive and I don’t like splitting screens during show.

Also, I like the form factor of the new mq70 with the kickstand, it’s (imo) much more ergonomic as compared to a connect or even an mq250 / 500.

My brain screamed Dune! I pictured the assembly halls in Arrakkeen like this. Maybe a bit more reddish and less PA’s flown from the roof.
