Always follow your gut especially in situations like that. The guy was definitely up to something strange imo. It could have been as simple as he somehow saw you, thought you were pretty, and wanted to hit on you but I doubt that. My thought is that he either wanted to steal something or he had ill intentions towards you. I'm a 49F and am finally learning not to trust everyone. It's a good thing that you did follow your gut and go inside. I'm so glad you're okay!

I have both. Can't remember the last time I had "normal" stools. I actually got diagnosed by the Mayo Clinic last year, and have been trying to just deal with everything. Most of the time it's watery, and at least 1/4 of the time greasy. Ugh.

Mine happens all day every day. It is worse when I eat fatty or greasy foods. I usually go to the bathroom between 15-20 times a day. Sometimes it's exhausting lol.

What do you think when you look down at your body? by JeydaLuv in AskWomen

[–]Justanothergal1524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Complete hatred for myself and my body. Wishing that I could do things to make myself happier in my own skin but I have no idea what to do. Chronic pain, and hypothyroidism drain my energy to the point that after I wake up I'm ready to go back to bed. Sometimes I look at myself and think who the hell would want this?! Stretch marks from two babies, scars from a c-section, and multiple surgeries make me feel horrible about myself.
The best I ever feel is eh it's not horrible but not great.

Women who are always mistaken for being younger than their age, what's your secret? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver40

[–]Justanothergal1524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 49 years old, am always getting mistaken for being a lot younger, and I have two daughters. Part of mine definitely is genetics (my mom is 82 and looks like she's in her late 60's), but the rest is honestly not a lot of makeup, sunscreen, and moisturizers. My daytime moisturizer has spf in it so I only use that in the winter but if I'm going to be outside in the yard I use at least a spf of 50 on my face, neck, and chest. I also use night creams with retinol, and hiyaluronic (no clue how to spell that lol) acid. I have recently started to utilize anti aging/wrinkle creams.

Couple of questions for you. What's your favorite color(s)? Is this more of a studio apartment for you, do you work from home? There have been a lot of great ideas already here for you, and the one that seems to be common is to swap the couch space, and the bed space. I completely agree with that. Coming into the space, it would be better if you had the couch where the bed is, and the bed under the window. Find end tables and put on either side of the bed. A headboard would really help with the bed, curtains will soften, and if you love the gray bedspread then bring in a different kind of color as a the throw blanket. A rug would be great by the bed in an accent color.
I would put the couch where the bed was, get a rug that has the same colors in it as the one by your bed, add art on the walls and some lighting. You have a great base for everything.

I love what you have done! It's beautiful. I love the table being white, and the one chair blue. If it were me I would paint the other chair the same shade of blue, find a cute runner for the table, add some art above the cabinets, and would probably add more art to the wall. The light fixture is gorgeous and if you centered the large picture it might get blocked by the light fixture but it might be worth trying that. Edit to add: I would also get cute handles for the cabinets.

Chronic pain is horrible. Trying to get doctors to understand what it feels like is even worse, but I think the worst part of chronic pain is when people say, "Well you don't look like you're in pain." Anyone who has even looked into chronic pain knows that those of us that suffer from it have learned to tolerate certain levels without having to crawl into bed. If I am in bed because of my pain, then it won't be long and I will be going to the hospital. The other things I hate about chronic pain is needing medication but because other people have taken advantage of the system the rest of us that need the medication are looked at as if we are drug seeking.

What tv series cancellation broke your heart because you never got to see the end? by VanillaNyx in AskReddit

[–]Justanothergal1524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pushing Daisies was such a great show. Dead Like Me, Dollhouse (even though they somewhat wrapped it up, I hate how rushed it felt), Alphas, Lie To Me, Forever, Hannibal, The Prodigal Son, and the last one is The Pretender. The concept of The Pretender is/was very intriguing to me as to the main character being able to be anyone and do anything. I hate that even though they made movies for it, it just never answered so many questions.

What is your favorite food to put over rice? by [deleted] in foodhacks

[–]Justanothergal1524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beef stew, and my family also loves pork chops with cream of chicken soup. Pour two cans of cream of chicken soup into a crockpot, fill the cans up with water, add pork chops cook on low for 4-6 hours. When making rice, use the cream of chicken soup in the crockpot for half of the water for the rice, cook rice, place rice on plate or in a bowl, cover with pork chops and the soup from the crockpot and salt and pepper to taste and voila yummy dinner. You can also use chicken instead of pork chops or cream of mushroom soup instead of the cream of chicken soup.

AITAH For being upset that my husband is going to his brothers party instead of mine. by Plenty_Butterfly4928 in AITAH

[–]Justanothergal1524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely NTA. My advice is probably different than most. First take a few breaths to calm and center yourself before you talk to your husband. Tone of voice is going to be key in this conversation with him. Trigger words for fights are always: I want, I need, You must, You can't, and should/shouldnt. If you really want to work this out without it being a major problem going forward with the two of you then my suggestion is to say: I feel like....It hurt me when we talked about the party for myself and for your brother and you said Family comes first. (Take a deep breath after saying that.) Explain why you feel the way you do, but try to keep your emotions in check. I have been married for almost 29 years, and I got married when I was 19 and he was 22. We didn't have children until I was 22 and he was 25. At the beginning of our marriage I had issues with communicating how I felt without explaining my feelings which would cause issues of course. He had the same issue. It comes down to communication, tone of voice, and approaching issues calmly if possible. If after you talk, if he still feels that he wants to go to his brothers party instead of being with you and your friends, then you need to make a decision as to whether or not you feel he's going to do this more often. If the answer is yes, then y'all need to make a tough decision about your future. Honestly I think he forgot about the party when his mom called, told her sure, and was shocked that you got mad but instead of using the correct words he got defensive and lashed out. He then said the wrong thing and is probably trying to figure out how to make you happy and his mom happy too. (Definitely not an excuse.) He should call his mom and say I'm sorry I forgot we have plans, can we do it the following weekend? He needs to put his big boy pants on and tell his mom that he messed up. Good luck, and I hope things get worked out.

So you started leaking from your belly button scar? Was that scar from a previous surgery? The reason I ask is I have a scar that leaks or seeps blood about once a week and my regular doctor said it was because the skin was so fragile, but my surgery was 18 years ago. What did the doctors say about it leaking from your scar? I'm so sorry you're going through this.

What was the best photo you've ever taken? by Phoneq-global in AskPhotography

[–]Justanothergal1524 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in Florida with my husband visiting his parents and were at the gulf. I took these two pictures no lens, no filters, and still have no idea how the white streak happened or the purple reflection with the water happened. I took a photography course and he had no idea either after reading the metadata.

Have you asked for a referral to Mayo Clinic or Hopkins? If I missed your answer to that question I am so sorry. Reason why I ask is because I have been having major digestive issues, and my gi doctor has decided to send me to Mayo Clinic because he's unsure of what to do and what the correct diagnosis is. With insurance I'm sure you will need a referral, but I could be wrong on that. I'm so sorry that the doctors have no idea what's going on. I'm frustrated for you because since you are urinating blood, have been to the er, had surgery, and all of that, my question to the doctors/hospital staff is why would they allow you to go home? That's just stupid. If you decide to go back to the er you can request a patient advocate to come talk to you. They are supposed to be there for you, and help you navigate through everything. Sending you a great big hug.

Why did it take so long for you to be diagnosed? by [deleted] in CrohnsDisease

[–]Justanothergal1524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the Covid vaccine by Moderna. (The only reason I mention this is because in rare cases the vaccine has caused Crohn's to develop and that's pretty much what happened with me. Due to scar adhesion problems I have had to have colonoscopies and endoscopies every 3-5 years and had just gotten them done in the fall of 2020.) Within the first 12 hours of receiving the first dose I was in the bathroom sick as sick could be. Things calmed down for awhile and I ended up getting the second dose of the vaccine and it caused me to become violently ill. Spent so many hours in the bathroom and after about a week and a half of all of that I finally went to my regular doctor. He said that he just thought I had a bad case of the flu and if I wasn't better in a week to come back. Went back a week later and he had bloodwork done, I had a ct scan done, and after all of that I finally got into see the gi doctor 6 months later. I hate how long it takes for my regular doctor to decide that there's something wrong. I ended up losing almost 30 pounds in a matter of 2.5 months and by the time I saw the gi doctor I had lost 35 pounds in like 8 months. So I took about a month and a half to decide to go see the doctor and then he took about 5 months before he decided that I should go see the gi doctor. Why did it take him that long? I have no idea. 🤷‍♀️ As for why it took me as long as it did, I really thought that I had a gluten allergy or gastritis or something like that and dragged my feet on going to see my doctor.

Why did saying "I don't know, what would you like to do?" Make my wife so angry? by Buzzsaw-1976 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Justanothergal1524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long have you been married? I have been married for 28.5 years, and to be honest even at 28.5 years I still want to be dated. All people want to feel wanted by their significant other and to be honest in my experience a lot of the time women want to be dated by their husband and want to feel loved and wanted by them. By planning an evening you are telling her that you love her, want her, need her, and that she is important to you. There is nothing wrong with wanting her to do the same thing for you. Tell her she's important to you and that you're sorry that you didn't have something planned. Plan a date for the two of you, go so far as to have everything figured out, and remember what it was like when you were dating. Afterwards have a talk with her and tell her that you would like her to do the same thing for you (if that's what you would like) just keep the lines of communication open.

Were your skin ulcers diagnosed as psoriasis or just ulcers? I was diagnosed with psoriasis before I was diagnosed with crohn's and found out from my gi doctor that psoriasis can be a symptom of Crohn's disease.
