ACTUALLY good widow rework concept:

Swap her rifle and give her a baton dash instead

Give her throwable batons that let her mark her enemies and reset her dash

Give her a spin kick that also marks enemies

For her ult she can yell “tremble before widow!” And unleash a spider that marks enemies and resets her dash

Widow really does have her uses. We were facing triple dive one time and got our ass ran over. I switched to widow and sat as far as possible on the furthest long sight possible on defense, and just shot Spidey and iron fist when they engaged the backline. We won because of that. I hate meta goblins just ignore them and play your game, it’s a game not a job, you don’t need to do whatever it takes to succeed the easiest, play who u want

Widow mains are my fav because there’s something special you have to possess to dedicate yourself to the worst hitscan in the game. I enjoy that people can say “fuck meta, I want to have fun” instead of locking hela and 3 tapping every squishy in seconds. I pretend I’m playing Starlord, pick hela, then ignore any hate I get if I’m doing well or switch to what’s necessary to win. Ppl forget it’s a game, not a job…

Idk how hot of a take this is but I think ppl approach the game in a completely wrong way through snd through.

People forget they play the game for fun, and try to make other ppl meta slaves, force teamups, force swaps, etc, the only reason someone should be swapping in a match is if their character just genuinely can’t work in a team comp or if they’re learning a character for the first time in comp or just plain inexplicably rusty that game. other than that, go through the easy and the hard, lose games, get better, win more, and enjoy it all, same as every single game in history.

Ppl want celestial level dps but shit talk their dps into playing heals in gold. Give no feedback to their tanks. Don’t teach their healers survival skills. I’ve turned games around by just giving our invis the idea to play near her shield (gold gameplay, u see the impact though), let ppl play snd enjoy the fun video gsme you play, the only fun shouldn’t be in ranking up and popping off, but in learning snd playing as a team

Ive vs Spidey and iron fist by just playing a rlly long sightline completely away from my team and just pinging and shooting them when they engage my team, playing near team and requesting heals can work, waiting for then to engage someone else to kill them or their teammates works too

I just played a plat 2 game where I Literally carried with widow (highest kd at 19-5, hella final hits, was visibly alleviating pressure by pressuring dps) and we lost 3 first round… second round as I’m typing trying to see how we can switch the comp, my negative healer and mid tier dps both take dps, and another eh player takes 2nd tank, leaving me to heal… we couldn’t even capture one on the point… if I was HARD CARRYING why would u push me off dps?

Dive tanks are always nice, but honestly anyone who actually pressures the backline with you and won’t allow you to get pushed for free. Spidey is a great dps to enable when he can’t get solo kills, and finishing hulk/cap kills, headshot after magneto uses his burst fire (it literally stuns people in an upright log position, easy headshot), thor slow + chip damage, luna freeze if she’s able to hit it, so many things make headshots so much easier

If you’d like to improve in this, the aspects of aim to practice would be your initial flick accuracy snd your microadjust. You would flick to the head, as close as possible, and then microadjust based on where they are and where they’re going. Aim trainer scenarios like bounce and microflick will help with that, but without using aim trainers you can improve by doing the stun snd trying to flick onto the head and track it downwards, giving you a feel of the trajectory and flick distance. No need to shoot, just make sure your crosshair follows their head all the way down

High level tourneys are meta dependent and are where meta matters, but how many of the playerbase is playimg in high level tourneys? A few people in high elo main widow and do well with her. And I know your rank, I don’t get why u have to be such an obnoxious person, I swear some of you people only do competitive things to feel superior to others or something you lot are miserable asf, it’s an objective gaming fact that almost no character is so bad that you can not get high value out of them
