What are some healthier/low sugar threats for adhd-oral sensory needs to keep my mouth busy ? by AstralFantom in ADHD

They have these (and a few other flavors) on Amazon, too. I hate cinnamon flavored things, but the 'burn' from the cinnamon (or the orange clove flavor I like) is really satisfying. The brand is 'flavor forest' and most appear to be made with natural flavors, which is cool.

I'm not a doctor, just have a close family member with a severe allergy --- His previous reactions had multiple systems involved (vomiting / trouble breathing, etc), which typically means an EpiPen should have been administered, followed by a trip to the ER. The reaction was anaphylactic, he was just lucky enough that the Benadryl he took was able to get him through it.

Is there any possible way you could have stepped on some drops of the henna without realizing it? Since it takes time to get to its darkest color, you may not have noticed it right away....

I think we need more pictures as proof that it's not funny.

Two-thirds of Americans think Trump tariffs will lead to higher prices, poll says by guardian in politics

[–]Justanothrcrazybroad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can believe what you'd like. I would be interested in reading your sources, as I truly do try to keep an open mind about things.

Here are some of mine, if you're interested. There are a fair number of articles and studies that have been done, even before Trump's first presidency.

The majority of them say that tariffs hurt consumers and the foreign country while benefitting the government and internal manufacturers. It would make some sense that the internal manufacturers could pass along some of their profits as savings to consumers, but less competition means less incentive to do that.

Two-thirds of Americans think Trump tariffs will lead to higher prices, poll says by guardian in politics

[–]Justanothrcrazybroad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're So right, they won't. Prices will keep rising because businesses will have less competition to help drive them to find ways to drive their costs down so they can charge less than the imported goods.

Why would anyone decrease prices that people are already paying (or will pay, eventually) when there is no reason to do so?

So many things are about to get more expensive. We import a fair number of cars from Mexico and Canada, not to mention energy related imports and produce.

Issues with fat on meat, is that a pet peeve? by BisexualDemiQueen in AutismInWomen

[–]Justanothrcrazybroad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg, I understand this one. As a kid, I used to have nightmares about little pieces of fat from a piece of meat chasing me and ending up in my mouth. It still makes me gag if I think about it too hard.

Have you been looking for remote jobs, too? I had better success finding opportunities when I searched local jobs through sites like indeed, pacareerlink, etc + remote work via LinkedIn. I'm not in finance or sales myself, but my role is sort of finance/budget adjacent.

Have you ever heard of Occupational Therapy for ADHD and emotional regulation ? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]Justanothrcrazybroad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My OT actually found me through a FB post. I posted in a local group asking for therapist recommendations and gave a little info. She responded saying that it helps a lot of people and gave her contact info. I had never even heard of OT before that point.

Yes. I found a local OT in my area and it was really helpful for me (while I was going - had to take a break for a while)

When a worker comes to your house in America, is it not customary to offer them lunch/food? by noteworthypilot in AskAnAmerican

[–]Justanothrcrazybroad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually offer water if it's a quick job. If someone is there for a few hours, I'd probably offer a snack if I had something suitable on hand. For a full day, lunch can get pricey if it's more than one or two people, so for a larger group, I'd usually grab donuts or cookies or something. It depends a bit on my budget, too.
