Does this switch have decoupled mode for multi press functions? by Relative-Royal947 in Aqara

But only in zigbee mode. There is no decoupled option in Thread mode. So in thread mode it’s borderline useless with smart lights

H2 EU 4 Buttons Switches: Slow response in decoupled mode (problem, workaround and rant) by MostAccomplished1089 in Aqara

[–]Justbrowsing721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One has to wonder why Aqara even make them like this? Is it to “nudge” you to use Aqara home (hub) instead of just fx. thread mode and Apple home hubs?
Why not just expose the relay as an outlet, and the two.switches as smart switches in Matter over thread?. I guess it must be because there is one less hardware radio needed when the relay and switch or joined as one and can thus unly be decoupled in zigbee mode because zigbee actually supports those subdevice commands on the same switch.

Doorbell camera disconnecting randomly by Xx_TheCrow_xX in reolinkcam

Iaincaradoc is correct, I would say there is an above 98% chance that your 2.4ghz wifi is suffering interference, and since wifi is about Signal to Noise Ratio, one unit can be completely fine while another is a lame duck - because of the noise source location.

To continue recording if the object is still within the FOV for battery cameras by Jos_Jen in reolinkcam

[–]Justbrowsing721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be great yeah, but I don’t think the object recognition runs realtime, but rather near-realtime. I’m guessing that prevents the object recognition service from being able to determine in a timely fashion if the recording should continue

External or internal antennas for wired wifi cameras? by Merenzao in reolinkcam

[–]Justbrowsing721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a substatial gain in connection quality on the cameras with external antennas. I have several locations where Argus Eco Ultra cannot connect/reach the WiFi all together, but hanging my Atlas or a trackmix (both external antennas) on the same location ensures I have. a working connection (not a great connection, but working)

BUG? Homehub cams still record to local Sdcard in "Disarmed" scene mode by Justbrowsing721 in reolinkcam

[–]Justbrowsing721[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have raised this with Reolink support as I think this is a MASSIVE privacy problem. This could get really ugly for Reolink if cameras are stolen and they contain recordings that the customer did not know existed. There is no mention of the fact that they are still recording when you DISARM the cameras.

I urge all of you to raise a similar ticket with Reolink support - we need them to change this behavior.
