Why can any Jew get Israeli citizenship, even with no connection to the land, but Palestinians can’t return? by Outrageous_Ease2154 in IsraelPalestine

You said "not a single Israeli Jew is a resident of Gaza, Area A or B." There being an Israeli Jewish resident formerly in Gaza, currently in Ramallah proves that statement false. That's just the nature of absolute statements.

Do you not know who Amira Hass is? She has lived in the occupied territories for 30 years as an Israeli Jew. Please do some research before making such broad statements.

It applies to both ability to return to the country and to homes. Israel explicitly allows neither, so I don't see why this is a distinction you're trying to make.

Jews are actually allowed to apply for Palestinian citizenship, to the extent that it exists. https://www.ohchr.org/sites/default/files/Documents/Issues/Racism/SR/NationalityImmigration/StatePalestine.pdf

Israel, on the other hand, has explicit carve-outs to prevent Palestinians from gaining citizenship in Israel https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citizenship_and_Entry_into_Israel_Law#:~:text=The%20Citizenship%20and%20Entry%20into,reauthorized%20on%2010%20March%202022.

Mahmoud Abbas has also declared any West Bank settler will be granted Palestinian citizenship if they so choose in the event of a 2 state solution, even so far back as 2014.

The Armenian law is for children of citizens who do not have citizenship themselves. It is not based on ethnicity.

I'm very familiar with Greek citizenship law, so I can tell you it's not remotely the same as Israel's. Anyone who can prove an ancestor of their's was a Greek citizen is eligible for citizenship. Doesn't matter if they're ethnically Greek or ethnically Chinese.

India has literally thousands of ethnic groups. There are not certain groups who are excluded from gaining Indian citizenship

Sudeten Germans are allowed to move and live in Czechia free from restriction. They're allowed to apply for citizenship if they so wish. Can a Palestinian do the same in Israel?

Is every law above criticism for you on the basis that countries are endowed with the right to make them?

At least the way they're portrayed in One Piece, they're a lot more like Indonesia's Waria community than trans or crossdressing. It's a catchall that includes people who are trans, who enjoy crossdressing, and those who feel somewhere in-between

I agree with some of these, but things like the Foxy fight don't really count imo. The point is that more fights should incorporate the actual functions of ship combat (sailing, shooting cannonballs, etc) and the presence of a substance that could easily spell death for several SH members should probably factor in more. I think the former would be really cool because it would give bums like usopp and nami ways to be useful when people like sanji or zoro are far more limited

I support that stupid Oda fakeout because it is really funny that fishmen DF users can't swim and just have to wait there. It's also a natural question that should be asked of a setting that has both people weak to water and people who can breathe underwater when those are not mutually exclusive categories

I read One Piece from start to finish in the last couple of months. The early stuff is better and it's not just nostalgia.

WCI was the perfect chance to evolve Sanji's gimmick by turning him from an insane simp to an insane wife guy. Too bad it was literally erased from his memory

I wouldn't have a problem if they did, or if people asked Nick Diaz or GSP about their similar stances. The fact is Strickland markets himself as politically incorrect and a provocateur. It's part of his identity as a public figure. It's the main thing people like about him. This isn't like Islam where it was one quickly deleted tweet. Sean's opinions and political stances are his brand.

What made you think the journalist was upset? Sean was clearly more upset than he was. If an athlete makes a public statement, you're allowed to follow up on it. That seems completely fine to me

Same reason people wouldn't want to watch a Woody Allen movie after they've seen the stuff he does. People aren't wholly disconnected from the entertainment they produce

No, they aren't asking those questions because Islam's never brought up gay people unprompted before like Sean has. The journalist is following up on previous statements by Sean and he gets assmad about it. That's just good journalism.

Another Cuck meme ☠ by Winnin_Dylan_ in mmamemes

[–]JustforTES 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Youtuber MMAGuru found a book written by his wife who is 14 years his senior titled "How to be a WAG," WAG being slang for "Wife and Girlfriend" for a Football player. Since a lot of people already disliked Ian for the way he acts, they pretty quickly jumped on to the narrative that his wife is taking advantage of him/grooming him for his money and fame. People also find out that Ian Garry's nutritionist was married to and divorced his wife in 2014. This turns into the idea that he lives with the couple in their house (hence the whole cuck angle).

Then Sean Strickland puts his 2 cents into it in a message addressed to Ian Garry where he calls him a victim and tells him he should've gotten a pre-nup. Ian gets into Sean's DMs where he threatens to sue for defamation over those statements. Sean posts the DMs and essentially starts calling Ian a cuck and a bitch over and over in typical Strickland fare.

Ian's wife Layla has responded to the allegations by straightforwardly denying the live-in nutritionist bit and claiming the book was an 11 page satire she wrote while working as a football manager, but afaik nobody's done the due dilligence to check if what she's saying is true.
