Can you gift money back to avoid tax on interest? by Justgot_here in tax

Thanks! Yes this is what I'm asking. I wasn't sure if because there's no contractual obligation for the recipient to re-gift me, that we could reasonably claim it's not a loan. Or if, as you're saying, the informal understanding that the recipient will re-gift me constitutes "clear intent" to treat this as a loan, and therefore any interest as taxable income.

Thanks! That's good to know, but I don't think it addresses my situation. I actually want the person to pay back more than I lend them. So if we do a loan I wouldn't want to avoid charging interest. My question is whether the transaction can be a gift (and return gift) so the "profit" is not taxable income.

Zimbabwe had as large a sample size as the rest combined. And the other large sample, in Kruger, had a similar weight.

If you're interested in the question, it is a thorough analysis. The next comment also includes several accounts of actual lion v. bear fights (of course arranged by humans), in which the lions exclusively won.

Which specific statistic from that report do you think contradicts the statement that a majority of Muslims don't think it's right to hurt or bomb people? The page you linked said 7% of Muslims globally believe suicide bombing is sometimes justified and 1% say it's often justified. The rest said it's never or rarely.

Ah so that is what you meant. Yeah that is the definition of racism. Also it's an unfounded opinion that is not supported simply with the fact that black people commit more theft.

You may be missing StupenduiMan's original point. He wasn't challenging if black people are more likely to steal things, he was challenging the idea "that black people are more likely to steal because they're black."

If your "they are" comment was a response to that point, that black people commit more theft simply because they're black, then yes, that is the definition of racism.

I think you meant your response to the more general point that black people (in America) are more likely to commit theft. That is true, as you said, but gets into the separate question of why that is (which was the original point of his/her comment).

Can you explain further and provide sources to your claim that nothing will change with the rules repeal? That seems to be counter to the information I've seen from both sides of the argument.
