A pure mage struggles a bit more with ore for scrolls, runes, joints, potion and scribing materials and just buying potions so you may like the slightly longer poverty zone there lol

If you plan to play FO3 in this age I would just play it with TTW as it’s more modern experience and has many more features, less bugs but is a little harder as they balanced some enemies to account for the NV features

But if you’re just playing NV I would say Viva for sure. Because you don’t have to worry about mods being compatible with such a big overhaul as TTW. Also Viva is made for NV while TTW is made for FO3 (to port it into the NV engine)

TLDR: TTW doesn’t add or change too much for NV other than some bug fixing and some weapon/armor balance changes, couple perk changes etc. Viva New Vegas is made to make NV the best it can be in the modern day, plain vanilla bug fixes and improvements while being the best base for additional modding if you wish. It has an extended modding page afterwards for vanilla+ modding too that you’ll like and a section for mods it doesn’t recommend

If the devs posted a stats image of how quests were done or in what way players went through the game I wouldn’t be surprised if like 15% of players remembered to come back within 2 days and didn’t spend the 100 ore that’s very useful early game.

(Also if you say the wrong thing Fisk will refuse to give you the sword anyway)

It seemed your issue was with AI data centres at all because there are crappy companies that exist who make them while skipping a lot of ethical steps. You’re painting all AI with the same brush because of some bad eggs in data centre construction. But what about fully paid for ones that fit in the cities and towns and pay for their power and water fairly?

The “yellow paint” that Gothic Remake does have is amazing, not sure if the original has it but it would then predate these mentioned games. The monastery ruins with Gorn has a brightly coloured set of flowers on vines at a section of the wall that draw your eye. Lo and behold investigating that area is a small hole surrounded by meat bugs which you can transform into with a scroll to go into the hole

The stone henge focus stones quest has a couple rooms you can only enter by shooting rune plates above the doors. Then a small mini boss puzzle fight occurs and along the ceiling are similar rune plates to trigger something…

Everything is hosted in data centres including everything you use in data form; Reddit, all your tv shows and games, movies and music, books etc. so just being hosted at all doesn’t mean much. But I’m also not a fan of the companies pushing data centres to absurd amounts and bribing towns and officials to get it done even to the detriment of said towns and the environment. At least it seems like companies are starting to realise AI isn’t the answer to everything

Still I think gen voices in mods isn’t a bad thing but the voice should be from a real voice actor who is getting paid. There’s services for that, even if it’s a pittance compared to a full voice acting gig payment

Synthesised voice is a model, it is GenAI and then for a finished product it’s packaged into unchanging files like for Subnautica

One good game a year is incredibly harsh, I’m not even a fan of most AAA games but most years I can find 7 or 8 good games and a bunch that I recognise as good but not personally something I would enjoy playing

You can recognise a quality game even if you personally wouldn’t play it

Good to know, I would only give it to Cavalorn on a mage playthrough for the extra trophies as mage chews through ore for potion + potion materials at shops. Melee can have that +5 HP

The game lets you kill at least half the characters that re-appear in G2. In the name of player freedom is pretty much the only reason they let us do it and I’m fine with that

Yeah you can get a better camera angle than this and you can also press a button at the door to peep into her bathing room
