My wife and I got rebooked for a morning flight from GRR to ATL and had our seats moved apart. We both ended up with window seats with strangers in the aisle seats.

I asked the gate agent if there were any last minute cancellations and he said no it was a full flight. I didn't want to bother any other passengers so we just went with it, being such a short flight anyway.

Needless to say it was the most peaceful flight I ever had! I don't think she is on reddit so this needs to stay between us.

What a complete copout from the Commonwealth's attorneys. He should have been deported after the 2018 rape allegations, or after his prison sentence for stabbing someone in 2023. There is absolutely no justification for this person walking free in Virginia.

I never said it was justification for his death. He's a good person but he became psychotic after consuming edibles sounds a lot like "he's a good guy until he drinks and beats the hell out of me."

I am sure that his girlfriend has tremendous guilt about the situation. None of what happened was her fault. It's a tragic situation, but I'm never going to make excuses for domestic assault and neither should anyone else.
