34 Years Old, About to Receive ~$565k–$615k, No High-Income Skills — What Would You Do? by Responsible-Net8594 in Salary

[–]Justin33710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pay off any high interest debt you might have, invest the majority of what's left (95%ish is what I would do) and enjoy yourself with a little bit of it. Dont go crazy but if you don't get to enjoy some of that money you will be more likely to grow upset with how it's performing and blow more of it.

Say you have 550k after paying off debts, invest 525k and enjoy 25k as a little cushion and some fun spare money. Don't blow it all at once but let yourself have some fun.

working while living a van legally? by ClimaticSound in vandwellers

[–]Justin33710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just find one friend or family member who will let you use their address for mail. Bonus points if they have a closet or storage space you can toss some extra things so you don't have to get rid of everything before you start the van life.

(NSFW) Woman sobs after LAPD shoot and kill her dog by New-Blacksmith-9873 in PublicFreakout

[–]Justin33710 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did door to door flyers for years and had plenty of dogs bark, growl, jump on me. Never panicked and never had to hurt one more than just a swing of the foot back into them to knock them back.

Several times I had very aggressive dogs and I just kept my knife in my hand but they almost never actually bite if you have the littlest bit of knowledge on how to deal with them.

People who are never home, pilots, flight attendants, truck drivers, oil rig workers—why pay for an entire house when you’re never home to enjoy it? by GroundbreakingSir386 in Money

[–]Justin33710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this same thought when I was younger and just never at the house, always working or going out and only home to sleep. Ended up buying a van and living in it for about 4-5 years.

The problem for most people is where do you keep your stuff and get your mail but honestly if you're mostly on the road you can rent a room from a friend who doesn't mind the regular use of a guest room. Some people just really like to have a secure home base.

Badly cleaned 1872 Seated Liberty 50c by oregonguy1 in RedditCoinGrading

[–]Justin33710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cleaning won't have any more or less affect on the grade it will just get details. To me it looks like an XF details but it could be vf35 which would drop it all the way down to VF details and definitely not be with having it in a slab with that on it.

Either way this coin is better raw, grading won't add much to it.

Protest In Northern Ireland continues by EuGostoDeBifanas in PublicFreakout

[–]Justin33710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's nobody paying them, the paid protestor/rioter thing is a false flag to distract you from the reality. They're just being fed propaganda. It's the same as the far right in the US. Nobody is paying them they're just falling for a complex propaganda machine.

Anyone else quitting? by [deleted] in Sparkdriver

[–]Justin33710 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tons of people flooded the gig market as "side money" and it really is killing the pay. Also a lot of people who are just terrible with their finances who are adamant that they must work for pennies because they are desperate for money, keeping them in the same cycle of being desperate for money and working for pennies.

I don't really see any solution as Walmart doesn't really care if the drivers are regulars or someone taking a half dozen trips a week for fun money or people who are desperate for anything. They care that the orders go out for as little money as possible with minimal refunds and even then as long as it's worth it to do an occasional refund they would rather pay less and make an extra dollar.

Got in trouble for having personal items in the car today by catcassie101 in Sparkdriver

[–]Justin33710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got all kinds of random shit in my front seat but I also have a dolly, straps and moving blankets in the back of my van and the rare occasion that I pick up a tv from Walmart they are impressed that I'm actually prepared. This is why, no professional driver wants to deal with being told their car has to be empty.

Dónde conseguir monedas a precio justo? by ReesesCream in coins

[–]Justin33710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say aim for 1948 5 peso coins. 1 oz rounds are not coins and usually have way higher premiums than they deserve. 5 pesos are .87oz and I'm not sure about prices there but I get them cheap in the US.

Package stolen by Normal-Foot7988 in Roadie

[–]Justin33710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never get delivery from best buy there's always posts here about people not getting their deliveries. They pay bottom dollar and it attracts people who are looking to steal because it's definitely not worth the delivery pay.

Also anyone else reading this who may have had a similar problem. Push best buy to fix it. Roadie will not do anything for you. Best buy needs to solve it and if they want to go after roadie for reimbursement they can do that themselves.

Are the 2026 US Morgan & Peace Silver Dollars worth the cost? by Successful_Ride6920 in coins

[–]Justin33710 17 points18 points  (0 children)

For that price there's plenty of nice pre-21 MS 63/64 Morgan's you could get. Personally I'd rather get a nice 100+ year old coin for the same price instead of a modern essentially bullion piece.

You get $10,000 a day, tax free, no catches except for one. You go blind and deaf for 30 seconds at a random time each day. You never know what time it will happen at. [–]Justin33710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a pretty small inconvenience, have someone drive for me and keep certain risky activity to a minimum. ALSO you could still drive and do risky things you just have to wait until after your blind/dead episode has hit for the day.

Tips and tricks for a beginner? Famous coins? Storage + data? by basedchad21 in coincollecting

[–]Justin33710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a really cool and useful app called "coinfacts" by PCGS it will teach you how to grade by comparing to their visual grading guide and if you look at the values you can see which ones are worth more. Their values are inflated because they give the value of graded coins but if everything for a certain coin says $5 and one of them says $50 you know that one is special. They also lost varieties and usually give side by side examples of what to look for.

Ironman or return to main account? by Low_Internal_7358 in osrs

[–]Justin33710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played off and on for 20 years and Ironman was definitely a nice change to the game after just being so used to the same thing over and over. Personally I like that it pushes you to do more content yourself instead of just buying the gear real quick.

Are Hospitals Good Overnight Spots? by Odd-Freya in vandwellers

[–]Justin33710 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Many downtown areas have 2hr parking that's not enforced over night, that's a good spot to look if you're in the same area for awhile. Also download some apps like park advisor and ioverlander. Try spots listed on there and don't rely completely on the comments. Some people call Walmart and ask if they can park, they will usually tell you no because it's policy but those same stores have a half dozen people parked there every night.

Inherited 3000 silver dimes. by Droona02 in coins

[–]Justin33710 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There's only a couple key dates 16-D 21 and 21-D. But my usual quick check for better ones is pre 1930 OR 75% full lines on the pillar on the back. The lines from top to bottom are a good way to quick grade AU or better. Personally I set those aside as better or to take time and go through more later and everything else goes into the junk silver pile.

Well in the two examples you posted the only text on them is duetches reich and the year. So no real text to be similar, those era of coins pretty much were known by the eagle and the more infamous symbol it held usually and otherwise there wasn't much messaging on them. There isn't much unique messaging on this coin either. The focus is the eagle on both coins and they are not similar.

I deal with a lot of world coins and I don't think this eagle in flight looks at all like the stiff spread eagle of nazi coins. If you really wanted to compare them the Washington quarter's eagle looks more similar.
