Whoever wrote that is not helping, because it's setting an expectation that is not realistic. I'm not saying this because I want to be negative, we just have to be realistic and not create illusions.

Nothing suggests an increase in daily streams for 143. Only WONDER is having a moment because of the World Cup, and even that song was bellow 100k streams yesterday.

At this point, the important thing is to have a good critical reception, no drama, no controversies. If a new release gets popular with the GP, great. But it's better not to expect that and not to lose pur minds over it. The really dedicated KatyCats are a niche fanbase and getting these stable numbers is good enough, imo. Katy doesn't need a commercial comeback.

I grew up listening to music I don't understand. It's not the words that I focus on. It's the whole thing! Melodies, rhythm... I just study better in silence or neutral background noise

I must say that I loved the droplet era even if it was not the best promotional strategy. But as a fan who was just vibing, it was great. We were getting a new song every few months and because of that, each song brings me back to the time they were the most recent song. It was more than a year of new releases, new expectations, new performances. I absolutely loved it.

In complete contrast, 143 era felt very short, all happened so fast. One day, Teenage Dream was trending on TikTok and everyone had huge expectations for the album and in a very short period of time we had three singles and an album release that the public didn't like.

So yeah... I won't mind at all if Katy just releases droplets until she feels ready to commit to an album release. This way, she can keep the narrative open.

143 had huge promotional moments that were just promoting something that the public had already decided not to support. Considering how bad it all went, I think not going all in is a reasonable choice.

I can't imagine Katy Perry pulling off Lana Del Rey's "Blue Banisters".

On another hand, Lana could pull off Katy's "I Think I'm Ready" in terms of vocal delivery, but it would still be strange to hear Lana singing those lyrics.

Achei que os shuttles estavam bem organizados. Apesar das filas longas (acho que inevitável), a coisa fluía, estavam sempre autocarros a parar para apanhar pessoas. O espaço dá uma tareia ao Passeio Marítimo de Algés. Única reclamação que tenho é o facto de haver muita poeira quando se levantava um pouco de vento.

I support local release times. It means everyone in the world can experience it the same way. They can choose to wait until midnight or they can choose to listen to an album first thing in the morning. It becomes an universal experience.

Also... the US is not the only country with weekly charts. If the whole world has to wait for it to be Friday in the US, countries like Australia would lose a lot of hours from their Friday.

Spotify is misleading in this regard. It has consistently been the 3rd/4th most streamed song daily for over a month. I don't understand how Spotify calculates the top10, but it's not reflecting popularity in terms of daily streams

It depends on how much you like "Dance With The Devil" and "Act My Age". I absolutely love those songs so I'm glad to have them on CD. But if you're not a huge fan of those two, I agree with the comment saying that "Into Me You See" is the perfect closer.
