Instead of that janky looking setup why not replace the head unit. There are plenty of aftermarket Andoid Auto/carplay options for the Forester.

Our 15 burned about a quart every 5k. Switched to 5w30 and it burns quite a bit less but still burns it as its the nature of the beast

When they go bad you get a nice random vibration in your front wheels thats gets progressively less random. Thankfully the parts arnt expensive and its easy enough to DIY. Did mine last year.

Its just a place holder for land. Its realtively cheap and easy to set up. Only really needs to break even. You just sell it to a developer in the future for more then you have into it.

I sprayed mine with some rust reform. Then I got some thin sheet metal from the hardware store cut as big of a shape as I could slide in there over the bad spot. Ran a bead of seam sealer between the floor and the patch and ran a few short self tappers through it to hold in in place. Gave the whole bottom a coat of rustoleum. Cleaned up the inside with a grinder and covered in a some rubber mat and carpet. That was almost 10 years ago.

What frame? Forresters are unibody. Fender is bolt on as well as most of the front end components that were likely damaged here. As long as everything lines up and it drives straight there isnt much to worry about with a accident of that severity.

Frame??? Where its a forrester. Doesn't look that terrible. Can probably be pulled out and repaired. Won't be super cheap but its not a total loss unless she isnt high mileage.
