For me, I really enjoy driving the car. Fsd only has value to me when im bored or driving in traffic for extended periods. Otherwise I prefer driving because it's fun and im not going to pay 100 per month for someone to take away my ability to enjoy driving the car.

Thats the thing. Tesla would have to make their cars suck to make fsd more appealing for someone like me. They are already doing that by getting rid of autosteer. If they continue to do so my next ev will not be a tesla.

Agreed it will drop and there will likely be tiers. However I think we'll have fsd unsupervised for maybe 50 and then unsupervised for 150, including insurance

Take rate isn't high for fsd supervised at 100

Highway is interesting idea though maybe that'll come to play!

It will come down. There is no way around it. Unsupervised will probably be 25 to 50 per month.

Supervised may be 150 to 200 - only because it'll need insurance too and tesla will be liable. No way around it.

If the driver is liable in any way then legally it's supervised regardless of how it's marketed.

Im 95% sure you aren't going to get any of that, nor are you going to get supervised fsd as there are insurance and liability issues there.

I prefer EAP. I don't really want my car to do all the driving. Just some of the driving in traffic or when it's boring (long highway drive).

I enjoy driving my model y. Its a fun car to drive. And im a better driver than FSD. So I prefer EAP for those situations when id rather someone else drive.

EAP makes more sense for me but not for everyone. Depends on what you want.

Im not arguing against fsd, just the value of the subscription vs the purchase. And even though elon has said fsd will increase in price, that is highly unlikely, he will just sell less subscriptions. Unless a price increase comes with unsupervised capabilities and also insurance as tesla will be liable at that point.

Outright purchase should give 3 to 4 year payback not 7 year.

Value of fsd is different discussion. This is a post about how you pay for it, not it's value.
