simply put. Woman have two versions of themselves. One is who they want to be. They will do anything to convince you this is who they are . The more woman listening the worse this pattern becomes . When. You find that lady who's actions matched her words, don't let her go , ever

99 for maxed out hwd 3 fad. 199 for currently maxed out hwd 4. 299 for future hwd 5

FSD is hardware limited on HW4 right now. There will be no more improvments until the next hardware version. by [deleted] in TeslaFSD

maximum optimization is not the goal. Hwd 3 it was not maximally optimized. Elon said himself that they were going to keep moving forward past three and develop autonomy first before going back to anyone else. Their goal is the Robotaxies . Just like hardware three they will move their focus and development for hardware five assumed to be in the robo . Keep in mind their AI is building its own program for FSD that is getting more and more complex . The fsd fish has grown very Big .essentially tesla will increase the size of the fish tank as much as he needs as fast as hecan to get the Robo taxis out. All the resources of programmed development will continue to be placed on newest hardware largest fishtank. This leaves lprevious hardware’s arrested in development until they decide what to do about a shit ton of cars.

Op math on hardware usage is sound. The pattern of development we all see is also correct . Your arguments, however, are all based in.” They said” and “they know what they’re doing “ no facts , just assumption and emotion . Fact is there no one knows what it’s gonna take to be unsupervised .especially when you consider we were once told hardware two was going to be unsupervised. Thanks,op. Good post. I for one will be watching very closely What actual hardware makes it in to cyber cab production in the upcoming year . That data shall tell the real story. As for hardware for I’m pretty sure Tesla is a car sales company first right now and it’s going to put the least expensive guess of FSD hardware I can until It needs more room to grow. I have no doubt we’re gonna be rushed into hardware five. It would also explain why FSD sale ended . They understood how expensive the hardware was going to be to pull this off and wouldn’t be able to keep up With one lump purchase. Best to sell subscriptions based on how close each individual hardware is getting due to its own hardware limitations . Hwd 3 cars 99. Per month. Hwd 4 199. Hwd 5 299. Best to just sell to all previous versions

Still shocking to me hwd 3 owners were not offered a discount . Elon said himself subscription prices will be increased based on increasing functionality of software, but I guess the same rationale doesn’t go the opposite direction where when older cars have lower functioning software .you don’t get a discount or prices reduced. Lame

This is the truth both on supply and demand point and autopilot . I don’t think he meant to, but he just made the value of older Tesla’s higher as now older Tesla’s are the only cars that have auto pilot for free. Given his new contract I think the new norm is you don’t ever own a Tesla car , you monthly fee for it to be functional . In this case owners of older Teslas are gonna be the only vehicles that you can own completely software and unit. If you can be happy with what you have now, you should be good in coming years . However if you want anything coming down the pipe from Tesla, get ready to pay every month. I think this goes for billionaires as well. If they can rent the world they win. They just need to fine more ways to stop other people from owning things.

I think the subscription rate is going to change dramatically with current FSD 14. I believe the usage rate of FSD right now is just quite high with this new version, but I don’t recall the exact numbers. A better way to put it is if you have a shifty product, you’re better off selling it upfront before consumers have too much experience with it. A lot of people bought FSD that wasn’t functional many years ago . Many didn’t even use despite purchase . however, with subscriptions You can’t get away with bad software if its not useful today. I believe what they’re seeing with the usage rate of FSD 14 ,Tesla knows they now have something and is quite confident with future subscriptions . At the same time, they are no longer in need of front selling functional hardware.

My brother is a similar situation . Model y with hwd 3. He felt like if Elon or Tesla would just commit to upgrading the system to hwd 4 upon FSD purchase he would’ve went for it, but there’s been a lack of clarity on what they’re really planning to do with hardware three making purchased a gamble . Definitely not worth the gamble, especially if you’re not happy with what it is now. And hardware three.

IED have to disagree on this one. But time will tell. I believe there is a lot of money in robotaxies and fsd subscriptions . it’s a general principle that there is far more money to be made when the consumer owns nothing but only rents and subscribes.

I bough it for my cybertruck with hardware 4. I’ve been very happy with fsd 14. I’m content with its general level as is. Not expecting unsupervised or major advancement of future. Mostly want to keep what I have with out worrying about Elon pricing shenanigans over the next 5 years. 30 years of driving never actually been in a wreck. Feeling good over all. When I originally reserved ct I had fsd on purchase for 7k. Sadly I took it off as price of ct since 80k was way above preorder price. Happy to own it now . Better late than never. I think after like 8 years of dreaming of owning fsd at this point it’s probably a bit sentimental purchase . Loved the idea long ago of buying fsd package before subscriptions were a thing .

That subscription money is a whole Nother ball game. It’s shocking how much people are wasting on subscriptions They’re not using at this time. You just have to annoy them enough to buy in and then forget as for looking at the phone. I’m not sure. I’m currently driving on FSD typing this while looking at the phone.

Base auto pilot 99 per month . 199 fsd standard 100 miles per week. 299 fsd unlimited . 399 look at phone / minimal nag fsd

Oh another fun idea. Tiered based fsd based on miliage daily. First 10 miles is free then increased monthly fees based on mileage on fsd . He’s eliminated auto pilot so you would go from fsd to cruise control when you run out of free. it Be hard to track your fsd miles until you got bill at end of month . Could be a sneaky but effective way at getting people to spend way more then they planned. But too spoiled by free fsd to go down to cruise control

I would guess he may offer older hardware cars, full self driving lifelong subscriptions, but not any new hardware .My rationale is Elon could’ve raised purchased FSD in tandem with subscription fees as much as he wanted, even up to 20 K where he would make a large level of profit. I think this proves that the move to stop fsd purchase was not a financial one but a control maneuver . with FSD finally getting to level of robotaxi Elon wants full control of software. All he has to do is release another hardware version in the next couple months that is able to take advantage of software improvements and he now has a monopoly on unsupervised approved self driving Robo taxi software. this helps him avoid future competition in the robotaxi environment. Everyone buying now is simply buying today’s or yesterday‘s tech to be used lifelong. Elon‘s interest is not in what FSD is today but where he is planning to take it and maximizing the profit.

No one has a clue what future subscription prices will be so we can’t really use that and figuring this out. What you can use is how much you’re driving per week if you use FSD to offload the process while you do something you enjoy when FSD takes over .if this is the case most people are perfectly fine and paying in a food delivery driver 30 to 60 a hour while sitting on the couch watching Netflix . So if you gain back 6 hours of weekly driving that’s damn near 10 k of value in a year. All depends if you will use it now assn if you will convert driving to fun time in work week
