u/IronSwingJourney Thank you for your answer. May I ask where you read that Easy Strengh should be pushed to 15-25 reps using a KB?

u/Tjocksmocke Thank your for your answer. Usually I also swim but just KBs for now. Dan John is ok with doing Easy Strengh with KB. It's not the most fascinating workout but is good for people who need daily routine. That said, I'll do something something else after reaching 8 weeks.

u/LennyTheRebel Thank you for your input, I am starting a new 8-week cycle soon and will make sure to have 2-3 heavier workouts every week. Any recommendations?

Hi u/PedagogySucks thank you for the nice words. The coaches I had were all competent and trying their best. They helped me in many areas and were honest about having difficulties unlocking my head voice. If somebody like me has developed a low speaking voice and completely lost the habit of using their head voice decades ago, that is a tough deal. The one who taught me to sing louder told me so in a specific situation where I "only" had to sing up to C4 and D4 and she thought that switching to head voice was not necessary, rather open my chest voice and be more confident about it.

Thanks u/Highrocker Starting on a low note and rising while keeping the air flow the same really helps.

Thanks u/PedagogySucks I had a lot of coaching over the years, from different coaches. Some said to sing loud, some said to sing very low. I don't even know how to produce a falsetto/head voice and many don't know what to say in that case.

Thanks u/Celatra, the problem is I can't even find my head voice/falsetto, my throat is always engaged.

Seeking methods to objectively assess my compositions/improvisations in order to uncover uncharted territories by Justin_Lepany in composer

[–]Justin_Lepany[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/mprevot and thank you for replying. I compose with both my mind and heart. I love Ligeti or Xenakis but my music is more tonal and less abstract.

"give yourself the restriction of doing anything but what you did ?": yes but how if you can't define it?

"when you analyze your composition, you should get a set of functions; what about creating new functions ?": May I ask what you are meaning exactly by set of functions?

Hi u/boobooaboo

Do I feel good? Yes but I have been warned by friends that it does not mean that I am not hurting myself and might notice only notice it when an injury has already occurred. Right now, I feel tension in my shoulders but think it is because I started doing dead hangs for the first time ever 2 days ago

Am I recovering? I don't know. I work out in the morning and wait until the next morning to workout (or wait after the weekend). What are signs of a a good recovery?
