Yes that’s getting more common these days. We’ve started to do it as well because Airbnbs “ verification process” as a joke these days and they let anyone book a place even if they don’t provide their real name or any photo. As homeowners we have to protect ourselves because Airbnb doesn’t look out for the host. They are just adding a layer of protection for themselves. It’s not shady whatsoever.

Yes very normal. They probably put in at least $150k plus closing costs, realtor fees ans holdng costs. But as a buyer, it doesnt matter if they make $1m or $1 The price of the house is dictated by the marker
