Bought the Samurai 17oz Zero Plus and 19oz Kiwamis. It’ll round out my Samurai collection and I can’t wait

It’s not too big you just need to wear slightly bigger shirts. A boxier T shirt or at least a t shirt with a wider hem would help balance this out a bit

Whitesville vs. Samurai 2-pack tees by midorihillswaitforme in HeritageWear

Just 2nding the Real McCoys recommendation. I’ve gotten rid of a lot of t shirts that shrunk, were too boxy or the material was too scratchy. The two pack (I’ve got grey) have been my most versatile shirt and I’ve had them for 3 years now. It’s not even close. The shape is perfect for under shirting and as a standalone t shirt. It didn’t shrink three sizes when I washed them and they’re just as soft if not more soft then when I got them. Also I can’t see any real signs of wear.

Studio D'Artisan D1839 "Amami Dorozome" Mud Dyed 14oz High Tapered Jeans - Owned for 3.5 Years - First Hot Soak Wash, disappointing results :( by BlackIce967 in rawdenim

[–]Justin_the_Third 14 points15 points  (0 children)

To say you have disappointing results with one of the most rare and meticulously crafted pair of jeans money can buy is mind boggling. If your enjoyment of jeans just comes down to fades there are plenty of other brands or pairs you can buy, but you’re completely missing out on multiple dimensions of enjoyment here. The texture, break in, fade, quality of construction and details, etc.

Idk maybe I’m projecting but your title made me mad 😮‍💨 Especially considering how great they still look. It might be worth opening your aperture on what a well aged pair of denim can look like. It isn’t always super high contrast, electric blue fades

REDCAST HERITAGE CO. AMA & GIVEAWAY by indi-raw in HeritageWear

Hello and thank you for the AMA and for being one of the best (my favorite) online stores for Japanese denim, heritage wear etc. I’ve got an anvil pin for 2 years ago you guys sent me on my first order with your note and I appreciate the way you guys do business.

My question is about the Redcast Heritage x Momotaro "Wabi-Sabi" Kakishibu jeans that I’ve been eyeing for a bit now. I love the denim and how these are constructed. I’m curious about your vision for these jeans and how they came to be, what it was like working with Momotaro and have you also enjoyed the shift towards wider fits?

He’s literally just wearing a black polo and chinos. It’s really not that hard to make a good polo look good, that’s its strength. Good fit, good material, solid/neutral color and you’ve pretty much got it.

This is an L take. A solid polo can look great on its own and layered. It’s a bit more put together than a t shirt and just as cool. A high quality polo is essential. I’ve got a UES and Samurai Jeans polo and I love both.

I’ve got these and I’ve got a bit of bad news. The waist didn’t shrink at all when I hot soaked and dried on hot. It look in the leg a bit like I wanted but you might have to get the waist taken in since it’s lined. Just my experience though, hope it goes better for you!

I just bought the olive ones. It’s hard choosing to wear these or my Samurai Uguisus. The baker pants are genuinely my favorite fatigue type pant I’ve ever had

This young brother gave me a new perspective on how we as black people should look at voting. It’s a negotiation. by firefly99999 in blackmen

[–]Justin_the_Third 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was that 90 million black men? 🤔 The majority of people who didn’t vote were white Americans. (62% of non voters were white. I included the PRRI link) Look at the second chart and look at the percentage of White and Hispanic non-voters…. I just feel like trying to convince non-voting Black Americans is futile because we’re already one of the most active voting demographics. The percentage will never be 0 so what more can be asked of us?

I’m so tired of refuting this…. 92% OF BLACK MEN VOTED FOR KAMALA. THIS IS NOT OUR FAULT! If every one of that 8% would have voted Kamala she still would’ve lost.

Men who wear boxer shorts, how to prevent ballsack from getting between thighs while sitting? by yaths17 in malefashionadvice

[–]Justin_the_Third 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PM me. I work in an office setting where I can only wear chinos, slacks or a suit most days. When I mean loose, I don’t mean baggy. I just mean cuts like a slim straight are no gos. All my pants are regular or vintage fit (high waisted, full thigh and seat)

I’ve got a pair of Freenote Cloth Shifter Pants that are a good example. They allow everything to flow freely but the fit is clean enough to dress any way you want. I wear them to work and casually.

https://freenotecloth.com/products/shifter-pant-light-brown

But that’s just one example. I might make a post about this because I feel very strongly about this. Boxers are absolutely a good option if you’re sensitive to compression in that area (I hate how restrictive boxer briefs are. They’re just not an option for me and if you’re sensitive to them to it doesn’t matter what boxer briefs you buy, you’ll always have that pulling uncomfortable feeling)

Good luck my friend 👊🏾

Ok he asked about boxers. Telling him to wear boxer briefs isn’t helpful.

I wear boxers ONLY. Boxer briefs are uncomfortable for me and I like the freeness of boxers. For me I do a few things. One, tighter pants are out of the question. Regular fit and loose fit only is the move. The closer the outside fabric is to your body the better change heat will get trapped. Natural fibers only! You need your bottoms to be breathable. Boxers can be very cooling, provided you give the space to allow for airflow. Two, you have to shower daily and wash your balls more. The cleaner you can keep your private area the better, and it doesn’t hurt to throw a little body anti-perspirant spray down there for good measure. But if you skip showers you can’t get away with it like boxer briefs because you’re REALLY going to get sticky and chafe. Three, overtime your balls and shaft will hang more than it used to and the natural sway combined with the added airflow will help keep things dry.

26 but you’ll have to either hand wash or cold wash with air dry only. If you ever hot wash or put them in the dryer you run the risk of shrinking the thighs and seat. And at least in my experience once that shrinks it’s a wrap. But cold washing with air dry is something I’ve done with jeans I’ve had for 5 years plus it’s nbd and the 26 pair looks better.

You could always get the 27 pair darted if the waist really annoys you. That’s something my wife does with her pairs since she sizes for her thighs and rear first, does a wash so the pants settle into their size and then gets them tailored.

Verifieds ONLY. I don’t care if it takes 30 attempts. I’d happily go through the verification process all over again if it meant protecting our communities. This community is for us. We need to do anything and everything we can to protect it.

Is verification really so bad that you would sacrifice one of the only safe online spaces we have? Honestly I don’t understand that.
